Does anyone have any thoughts about the sound quality with the A8 with or without Roon. Do you think it’s better or not with Roon? I used Roon in my previous setup, but not since I bought the A8 for obvious reason. I have always thought that the sound quality improved with Roon, and I wonder what you all think about the match A8 and Roon?
You can compare Roon ‘ready’ is only available on ‘internal player’ connect the A-8 directly to your Roon core and you can switch between. Keith

IMHO if Roon is not applying any DSP like EQ or room correction, the sound SHOULD NOT be any different.
Yes I am probably not the best person to ask as I wouldn’t expect to hear a difference. I tend to directly connect mine to my Roon ‘Nucleus’ by USB, because they sit next to each other, I had a quick listen last night couldn’t hear any differences . I do like Roon controlling the volume though. Keith
I know, but strangely I can hear a slightly different in sound quality and I can not understand why. I absolutely don’t have any EQ or DSP so it is a mystery to me. Maybe of course it can be that I want it to be better with Roon, but I think that I have a good listening ear so it is strange.
It is so easy to believe you can hear things when in actuality they don’t exist. Moving your head twenty centimetres will almost certainly make a bigger and tangible difference. Keith
I have used Roon since the beginning, it was a bit cheaper back then though, super software best I have used. Keith
