For VIDEO out you can opt for any of the Zidoo multimedia players...

Yes but the Music Player is way less developed. No idea why this is not updated?

    1. Hardware restrictions?
    2. They already have the AUDIO line...
Actually it's a bit weird to pretend audio-specific from video players, and video capabilities from audio players...

I am very familiar with both Zidoo and Eversolo media/music players. The Eversolo Music Player is a further development of the Music Player from Zidoo used on the Neo type player (already having a front display with touch control). Porting back some/most of the goodies/improvements from Eversolo Music Player to Zidoo Neo should be very well possible. Could be a second Music Player controlled via the Eversolo App with only a passive view on the attached TV via HDMI.

Then let's hope they do it... will be a game-changer, if also the price is kept competitive; you know, it's easly done at 5/6k...

I have connected two DACs to the Eversolo A6. A Topping D70 Pro Octo via USB and an MHDT Orchid via Coax. I can't seem to switch the output between the two. I can switch it via the app but the sound doesn't switch. The Topping route gives an output but the Orchid doesn't. For the Orchid to work, I have to disconnect the USB from the Topping and shut it down and then restart the Eversolo. Any solutions to this please?

You can try to use an usb switch (the Orchid has also an USB input) so that the A6 sees only one DAC or wait until the Topping starts to become a brick...

USB is the way to go with almost any DAC (or IIS which is seldom available).

Thanks I thought of that. Have been searching for a switch for the last 1 hour. Can’t find one which has one input and 2 outputs. If you know of a good one please do let me know.

Any USB Switch has several Inputs (=Host ports) and typical only 1 Output (device port). That Output can be connected to a USB HUB again for multiple devices if desired
Use such a switch to automatically switch my USB docking Station to 4 media players used by me. The one being powered-on gets the Docking Station (with up to 5 HDD's).
Absolutely never fails but there is a cycle button to force any port manually if needed.

Updated the review with M3U now being supported. this by deleting the observation that it was not. Also Updated the BT Output paragraph.

If I need to change anything else please just shout.

BT set to Source Input for the DAC will skip any BT pairing step
Warning: This can only convert BT 2CH Audio and nothing else. Not a real data security problem as data goes straight into the DAC but yes it may result in surprise connections even coming from your neighbor(s).
If you use BT DAC Input this then it is recommended to enable it only when being used actively.

The above paragraph was added to the review.

The quote below is from the dump-a8 thread, and I'm wondering if this pathway also applies to the a6/a6ME for its USB out?
If so, I would assume the USB out would provide the best digital out option for the a6 as it would be processed through the superior clocks in the XMOS.

"Connecting an external DAC via IIS is the best option as all external inputs will then take advantage of the Accusillicon crystals as this path runs via XMOS. The External DAC does not need to include XMOS and/or USB ports by itself; so relative old but further top quality DAC's may do an excellent job here.
    - The second best choice is USB as also that input runs via XMOS just missing the digital router function"

Only USB Input runs via XMOS. The USB Output runs on the motherboard crystal with A6 models. Your external DAC is the important factor here and should have femto crystals and an XMOS intermediate.

    Hello

Do you know if usb output can send multichannel audio ?
    For dsd multi channel dac

    Thank you

No, never had such a DAC. Please share the outcome.

It should. Provided the dsd mch is a local file, being played from the eversolo internal player. I am not sure if you can redirect a dsd mch stream from, say, Tidal, to usb.

    P.S.
I also think you should have the EOS (or whatever it's called) thing enabled - that should guarantee the stream is not manipulated in any way, in terms of smapling rate, bit depth, and channel down-mixing

    Thank you for your answer.
    So it's not sure.
How can you be sure it works?

What DAC do you have that does multichannel? Does it have an HDMI input? If it does then you could connect the HDMI output of the DMP-A6 to your DAC for multichannel playback.

I have an exaSound e38 8-channel dac for sale. I used it with usb output from my computer via jriver. It works amazingly well for that purpose.
