I decided to flash my X6 Pro trying to fix last days problems: 1) very slow to boot 2) only Zidoo Logo showed without booting I tried to use the factory reset button but no boot console appeared. I used Windows 7 PRO 64bit Could someone help me ? Maybe the appliance is completely gone ? Best regards, Egidio
I add also a note: when I connect the unity to the Pc with otg cable the blue light switches on. Egidio
Egidio Ghiorzo, it's correct, the unit MUST NOT be powered in the usual way, only by USB cable. Are you sure the A male-A male USB cable have all the wires needed? Sometimes USB cable are only "for charge" so don't have signal wires, even not probable in a A-A-cable... Anyway I did a flash only once, and was a pain to find the correct timing sequence to make X6 Pro detected by my PC. My advice is try, try and try again. I've not a rule of thumb to suggest. Else, there is some HW problem, ask for a substituition (if still under warranty). Good Luck!
This procedure by Ivan Ivanov works everytime. http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/how-to-flash-x6-pro-box.605/ #13 1. Unplug Zidoo Power Supply Unit (PSU) and put it somewhere. Do not use it. 2. Install drivers from DriverAssitant v4.3 on your PC 3. Launch FactoryTool v1.39 and load the firmware image file. 4. Take USB 2.0 Male to Male cable and plug it in PC USB port. 5. Using pinpoint push and hold "Reset" button in Zidoo box. While holding the button plug another end of the USB cable to USB/OTG port of the box. You will see "Loader" name appeared in "Device Type" column of the FactoryTool. 6. After this just click on "Start" button and wait for the firmware flash to complete.
