This may be a niche request but I would like to see the return of the option to select another screensaver app. The current default is limited. I have a much more feature rich app that I would like to use in its place. The option to change used to be within the advanced Android functions - but seems to have been removed\hidden on the new boxes. Thanks.
I'd like this as well as I use Aerial Views on my other Zidoos https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neilturner.aerialviews&hl=en_US
If network ADB is enabled you might be able to change the screensaver from an adb command from your PC? Similar to the instructions here https://github.com/theothernt/Aeria...o-set-aerial-views-as-the-default-screensaver
I wouldn't want to do stuff like that anyway. Just hoping the screensaver function can be unhidden in the Advanced section!
And the little clock in the top right corner was nice.........no need to turn on the light to see the time!!
BTW thanks to @mirror and Zidoo techs for adding option to select own screensaver. Works great! It's actually better than it was on the Z9X Pro. On that device my chosen screen saver would kick in while at main UI. However when a video was paused the default Daydream screensaver would kick in. This is much better. Great job!
Ah, good job then (same issue on the DR range - music playback and UI would trigger the selected app for screensaver, but on video playback, daydream kicks in).
Noticed an issue when using a different screensaver. If I puse a video the screensaver (in my case Fotoo) starts but when I press play the video starts in the background and the screensaver remains. I need to use the back or exit key to clear the screensaver.
Today I had the misfortune of trying to get Aerialviews to work with video files on the local storage as I'm setting up a Z20 Pro that won't have internet access. I could be wrong, but I assume this is an issue on the 8k devices as well. No matter where I put the video files on local storage (existing or new folders) I could never get the app to find the custom video files I copied. However, I did find a workaround that uses the internal samba server.
