Request for support of Spotify Lossless

    Hallo. Kann jemand vom EverSolo-Support bitte kommentieren, was mit Spotify Connect passiert, damit wir es ohne Workaround wieder ordnungsgemäß verwenden können.

    I did find that you need to check lossless for both wifi AND cellular for it to work. I think the app thinks it’s on a phone :).

    Any status on when Spotify connect will work for lossless. Is that totally in Spotify’s hands, or is it something eversolo engineers can do?

    I do not think it is on Spotify hands. All my devices (except Eversolo) have updated to Connect Lossless, including the Marantz receiver, which uses to be late on these things

    Actually, a friend of mine who recently retired from tech in Spotify did mention that Spotify does have to enable a software switch to enable lossless on devices. He was aggravated because he was a beta tester for lossless on Sonos, but it is not yet available on Sonos now that it is officially released.

    The problem seems to have resolved itself, no more crashing! I'm not sure if it's because I'm on employee tier but I do notice the apps sometimes look different from the regular app and was the cause of the crash. I did notice it was extremely sluggish when you first open the app until it crashed out.

    So still no Lossless for Spotify Connect? We have to keep doing the trick of starting the app in the device and then continuing in the phone

    So, nearly 3 Month are gone since i've started this thread and nothing new happened ..... beside all discussions her and in other threads i really miss any kind of official statement regarding the direct support of spotify connect. So, the simple info "Eversolo and Spotify are working on it...." does not help me. I would really appreciate to get at least a rough estimation when this feature will be implemented (or maybe not). Then i'll be happy to remain patient, but officially saying nothing from Eversolo side is not a good option. Again, other competitors with way cheaper devices have managed that.
    And without any info there come other thoughts... Is the current software architecture maybe not able to support spotify connect ? I remember well the story when i raised a bug in the internal Tidal client that suddenly some standard playlists of Tidal (e.g. My daily discovery) are not longer available. Eversolo team promised to work on that , seemed to be a minor issue...... that was one year ago, nothing happened. Is there also a limit whatsoever in the UI ?
    Also i read all the problems with the library management. Is the architecture too complex now, does it have to much features, does the software needs a complete rewrite ?

    So, don't get me wrong, my A10 ist clearly a good device, which i like to use every day. But, for a 4kEuro device i would expect more support infos.

    Hmmm. Connect stopped working at all for me. I’ll check again in n the morning. I hope something is going live.

    Working for me. Spotify must have flipped the switch. No firmware update needed.

    Not totally working for me yet. Spotify connect won't find my A6 unless I open the app on the player first. And then connect finds RK3566 or something like that.
    Almost there?

    That is the old way. I bet Spotify is rolling it out. Try again in the morning, or over the next few days. It should work just from the Spotify app, and find your normal name for your eversolo. This all started in the last hour for me.

    I’m also noticing that using the connect app for lossless, I now see cover art and info on the eversolo

    Ooo, I just got a Eversolo control update on my Android phone.
    Going to try again.
