Just want to get the best but don't know which, strictly will be watching 4k files, some Dv some not...?

 

On a Sony A80K I'd say leave HDR on Auto so you get everything native.

But you can experiment when you get it.

What spec should my hdmi cable be? Does it matter? For the zidoo to tv?

But I also wouldn't pay more than a few bucks for one - if you're paying more than $10 for a standard sized one (say a meter or so) then I'd say you're being ripped off.

Yes - get good cables, but don't pay over the odds for boutique cables because you will gain literally nothing!

So I see that hdmi in is missing on the z20 pro compared to the z10(not pro)

New to all this, do I need the hdmi in? Z20 doesn't have one seems to be a downgrade.

I'm truly curious is visually 4k files are better looking coming from the z20pro vs the z10 (not pro)

 

Got the z20pro just now. But can I use the USA power supply from the old z10(not pro) into this new one instead of using the European to USA transformer?

No - On the old boxes HDMI in was only used for a half baked PVR function - so no, you're missing nothing at all.

 

I see they included a hdmi cable, it says on it also ethernet? Never heard of such a thing... How is that function even used?

 

1). Dv compatability So when is best to us LLDV vs Standard (tv led). I have a Sony A80K).?

2). HDR. When is best to change these settings, like when I play a specific file a need to change this?

 

So I figured out the DV finally showing on my TV, but.... I hae stuttering, dv or not... Even sdr 1080p is stuttering, used all recommended settings on first page of thread

 

Does anyone know why when I match resolution the 720p videos that switch my tv to 720p plays back in overscan? I’m missing part of the picture and it’s blurrier.

real vision and my new amlogic pro one 8k is doing the same overscan thing but not the nvidia shield pro where it plays without overscan in plex app and kodi.

 

Yes, HDMI with Ethernet is a thing, but it's rarely, if ever used.

 

Figurd out everything exept now a lot of content is dropping frames, stuttering, 4k or 1080 sometimes audio sometimes on video stutter... The old z10 didn't do this.

I've figured out the problem, it cannot handle a specific file.

Anyways, let's say I have a Hdd installed in the zidoo bay, can I connect my pc to it via the USB ports on the z20pro to load files onto the Hdd without pulling it out of the z20pro?
