As @Deano86 says, they need to be in the individual movie folder. I assume you don't have all the movie files in one folder?

@Markswift2003 , Would you happen to know if i can, by any mean, extract infos from the libraries. Say i wanna count how many movies i have in on specific codec or resolution, could i create a sorting choice in HT to display only said content? or could i find the information in a file somewhere?

    thanks !

There isn't a user friendly way of doing it but if you unzip a backup file (just a zip file with ztb extension) you can access the database file (theater.db) and look in the VIDEO_INFO table at the MEDIA_JSON field and in there is the MediaInfo for all the videos in the database - If you know a bit of SQL you can then create reports based on this or anything else in the database.

If you just want numbers you can just use a filter - eg, enter Atmos in the filter and you get the number of Atmos files. Enter Atmos and TrueHD you'll get the number of THD Atmos files, enter "Width": "3840" and, well, you get the idea...

    Hi @Markswift2003

Quick Question, is there a way to delay the startup of a video to let the AV receiver change framerate? when i play a movie in " movie only" mode i always miss a few secs at the begining.

When i play a movie using blu-ray menu, the change of framerate is made during menu loading, or during logo Pre movie ( which i find a good use of lost time) -> the movie starts with the right framerate and i dont lose any seconds of movie startup.

I saw the delay on the Audio section but i dont think thats what i'm after

    thanks

No - although it was provided on the Realtek models, it wasn't added to the AML models - I've never really understood why.

Finally had a break through with some stutter issues I still had.. 4K streams.. when fast panning or bright areas with lots of movement. I've done all the reset stuff.. its connected to my NAS for files.. then I noticed in my Zidoo Z3000 pro network setting.. the ethernet was at 100 mbps??????
I did a another reset on the box.. still at 100 mbps, so I switched the ethernet off/on then reset box.. I finally got back my 1GB, I know its not my network switch, as its 10 GB.. files played way better now, no stutter.. I can't explain it.. ordered some new CAT 7 cables hope that helps.
.. think the one I'm using is old..

I hope that the issue.. unless its a box issue :( Does anyone know if any of the 2.5 GB to usb 3.0 ethernet work with Zidoo? thank you.

I would not hang too many high-speed things off the USB bus. It'll end up being oversubscribed and you'll get issues that are harder to track down. And so that you know, all the SATA /HDDs are actually attached via USB internally.

It very much depends on the equipment, but it should always be safe to go:

    1. Display
    2. Amp
    3. Source

The only reason is to be sure that the source has the full EDID (display + amp) available when it boots. Theoretically it shouldn't matter because if the EDID changes during runtime the source will adapt, but in reality it depends on boot times and some devices are a bit crap at EDID management (I'm thinking primarily soundbars there).

For example in my cinema the PJ comes on first, there's other stuff going on like light scenes changing and blinds coming down, but the amp follows 0.2s after the PJ and the source (Zidoo, Satellite or Nvidia Shield) comes on 3.4s after that. Given boot times, that works for me, but every setup is different.

When I start it with Google home saying "movie time" first turn on the TV and then amp + z3000 and takes like 10 seconds to set all up. But when I turn on with z3000 remote, first turns on z3000, then after 10 seconds tv and then after 30-35 seconds amp. Don't know why it takes so much time to turn everything on when I using a zidoo remote.

I'm not sure what you mean by "when I turn on with z3000 remote, first turns on z3000, then after 10 seconds tv and then after 30-35 seconds amp. Don't know why it takes so much time to turn everything on when I using a zidoo remote".

You can't program macros (sequences) into the Z3000 remote...

When your system works with HDMI CEC, the boot sequence is like that:
    1. Source - Zidoo
    5sec
    (auto on) 2. AVR
    5sec
    (auto on) 3. TV
(For those lucky users of HDMI CEC)

In my case first z3000 then tv and then 30 seconds after avr. I don't know why CEC is so slow. So, I mostly using Google home which turns all these on much faster.

In Media Player, is there a shortcut to Favorites (rather than having to scroll through the drives, up to Favorites)?

And if I assign a folder in one of my USB drives to a favorite, will it retain the link in Favorites even after I remove the drive (perhaps to copy a new film), and return it to the Z9X?

Another reason it's the work of the devil and should never be used ;)

I don't just use it on Zidoo where it objectively has more problems than anything else.
All my other peripherals work fine with CEC

For what its worth, noticed some microstutter at the beginning of some movies (mostly 1080p) when i had my ui set to 4K60 with only adjust framerate on, probably because of hdmi resyncs? as soon as i switched to 4K23.976 its been smooth sailing since. Subtitles tend to look a little pixelated with a 1080p ui on big screens.
