I have two Beatles albums in BDMV:

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
    The White Album

I can't get a match and I can't modify data when using Webgui.
I've added my own poster but when I try to add it it is not visible.
Any idea where I go from here?

    Two options:

Match to some other random movie and then you can edit details in the web GUI and the poster can be changed to one of your own in the box UI.

Or use an NFO and local art (see attached NFO for a basic template).

I've had a look but can't find a Feature Request thread.
For music dvd and blu-ray, can't Zidoo use Discogs.com or something similar for scraping?

What setting needs to be on so that my own poster and fanart is used/seen?

Hi @Markswift2003 thanks for the update with the .pdf document.
Could you please explain how to use this option: "Poster Wall auto plays soundtracks"

    Thanks

Put an mp3 with the soundtrack into the movie folder and name it like:

    movieName-soundtrack.mp3 (or .wav .flac)

In fact, I think just soundtrack.mp3 works too, but I'd use the former to keep it in line with other files.

I've been trying for last few days to sort some music dvd and blu-ray that I have but not getting anywhere.
You did suggest selecting any match and then to manually change what needed changing.
That worked for some but others I could not save the changes.

I tried this free program to make nfo files for me but it doesn't seem to work.

    https://nfo-maker.com/

I've added my own -poster and -fanart but most of the time Zidoo does see these to allow me to add them as the main poster or background fanart.

How can I delete cache or reset the ones I'm having problems with to try again?

There are a lot of music albums available now with 5.1 and Atmos.
Can you ask Zidoo to look at adding a scraper for music such as Discogs or something similar?

I've never used NFO Maker, but check the format against the template I posted and make sure fields match - that template definitely works.

If local art isn't working then all I can think is you have the naming wrong (or they're in the wrong place!!) - local art works 100% of the time:

    movieFileName-poster.jpg
    movieFileName-fanart.jpg

Use Local Images First > ON

Similarly, I don't know why editing details works for some but not others. A permissions issue?

Today a friend of mine came with a 10TB disk and I connected it to my zidoo.
Just to check what was on it.
After a while i noticed my posterwall was rebuilding based on the extra drive.

When i unplugged the drive most of (or all) it is gone but i think the database is completely cluttered with irrelevant data.
How do i efficiently remove that garbage data? (The disk will never return to my zidoo)
Must i delete my data? do a reset?

    What about this?
Could you ask Zidoo to look into this?

I assume you have "Automatically Scan Devices" on in Preferences? I'd definitely keep that switched off (it's off by default) for exactly this reason - you want to be able to plug USB drives in without them being scanned.

When you say "most of (or all) .. is gone" - there's no reason for any of it to remain after removing the drive unless you also have offline mode on - "Display Poster for unconnected devices".

You should see the new disc as a disconnected source in HT - press the menu button on it and select "Remove".

Are you able to ask Zidoo about using Discogs or something similar to scrape for muisc dvd and blu-ray?

So here's the problem - firstly I honestly can't put forward every suggestion made by every user for every personal preference.

I spend a huge amount of time with the devs sorting issues out but I have to pick my battles carefully. Put simply, I can't take personal requests - I just don't have the time or the inclination.

The other issue is that these boxes are centered around films and TV series - that's just the way it is - to add music video scraping as well is a huge undertaking - I'm not saying it's not possible, but to bring a common colloquialism into it, I don't have a dog in the fight.

My advice is to @ Kim in and see if you can gain any traction.

    Hellou Mark,

The idea looks greats, but makes ht crazy. I put the correct name with -soundtrack.mp3. But i have differents hd, and ht changes the mp3, for example I put the correct name to Rocky and for batman, anf when i put batman it plays rocky, any idea??

I really don't see how that can happen if you put the soundtrack selection in the actual individual movie folder...
