On my Epson TW9400 HDR movies with VS10 looks better (black seems deeper) and this is HDR10, no DV projector.

 

Then use VS10 trusting your own experience.

 

Is there a list of supported files types for music files. (other then wav/flac/dsd)
Is there a filetype for atmos files?
Is there a file type for DTS(hd)

Does APE do multichannel on this device?

 

Is there a 2,5->3,5" bracket that will be usefull in the Z3000?

Not all brackets take into account that the sata connection is fixed.
Most if them rely on a sata cable

 

What capacity SSD are you installing?

 

Does anyone else have a problem with the hard drive getting hot in the Z30 Pro?
Like Z10-20 got very BAD airflow for internal HDD usage, small fan, small ventilation holes only from bottom - why hasn't this been fixed in the Z30 Pro?
I put inside WD Ultrastar DC HC330 10TB and it's warming up to 48* C after 1h playing (I turn off Zidoo, remove HDD and connect to PC).

And now I thinking about modification how to get HDD cooler?
Is there any android app to check HDD temperature?

Recently I installed ZDMC on my Z9X 8K to see what differences there are with HT5 and I reckon the HT5 poster wall is more polished to me.
Just for fun I tried playing Avatar Way of the Water in 3D and to my surprise it played beautifully on my Valerion Pro2.
Now if I can find some way of replicating HT5 Poster Wall in ZDMC I will be very happy.

 

Can somebody help me to understand something please.
My chain is Zidoo Z30 --> Denon X3500H --> LG 55UG870V.
I have selected in the zidoo box to output 4k @ 23.976. I have also selected the option to match framerate. When playing a movie I press info on the zidoo remote and i see that the zidoo is outputing 4k @ 23.976.

Now if i press info on the LG remote is showing me 4k @ 24hz. Also If I go in the Denon settings/general/info/video/monitor input is showing me also that is receiving 4k @24hz and is outputing 4k@24Hz. Is normal? It should be 23.976 instead of 24hz?

Can somebody help/explain to me. Or better someone that has a Denon avr can check if it's selected 23.976 in the zidoo the denon reports that has an 24hz input signal? Thank you

 

23.976 is 24 drop frame. To be precise, it should be 24 * 1000 / 1001

Some equipment will show this as 24, some will indicate that it is 24 drop frame. Some will use a decimal approximation.

Correct... most other devices and displays simply show it as 24. As long your Zidoo info shows as outputting 23.976.. you are fine. Keep in mind that there are indeed some movies... and I find my that my official Dolby Atmos demo scenes are actually encoded at 24hz, not 23.976...... and if you play those, your Zidoo will display as such.

Does anyone use HDFury Vertex 1 with a projector and can confirm that there are no problems getting Dolby Vision on the new Zidoo 8K?
I'm specifically talking about HDFury Vertex 1, told me that "You need a device that can switch the projector into and out of HDR mode and the vertex cannot do this."
What is going on here?

My Z3000pro can't play DTS HD HRA tracks, (no sound or choppy sound) DTS and DTS HD MA work without a problem.
I had a UHD3000 before and the DTS HD HRA tracks played fine.

It depends how you intend to use it - the Vertex 1 cannot be setup to send a spoof HDR message only when LLDV is detected - it's either on or off - whereas the Vertex 2 and later devices can trigger a custom HDR message on LLDV input.

With the Vertex 1 if you want to trigger HDR with a custom message, it has to be permanently on (unless you do something clever with RS232) which means that all HDR uses the same parameters - that's ok if you want to use LLDV for all content, but if you want to use native HDR or SDR, it's a problem.

Of course if the projector can be switched into its HDR mode manually, you don't need a Vertex but you will have to manually switch to HDR when sending LLDV. Again, you could send LLDV for all content and just leave the projector in HDR which is a perfectly valid thing to do - that's what I do - I convert all content to LLDV whether it's SDR, HDR10 or DV.

I can't switch the projector to HDR mode.
From what I understand, you use Vertex 2 for all kinds of material and it "converts" all to Dolby Vision?
I thought it would only work on Dolby Vision materials, that the projector would still detect that it was HDR10 but would dynamically map it as in Dolby Vision, right?
At the moment I use VS10 for all my HDR, DV, SDR mkv files and I like it very much

So, is HDFury worth buying? Is the difference significant? Or have you seen any comparisons of HDR10 vs DV HDFury photos or videos? Or is it somewhere on the forum? I couldn't find it

 

As I say, each device has its use so it depends how you're going to use it.

Personally I would not recommend the Vertex 1 or the Arcana, I would go for a Vertex 2 at the very least. But I would not recommend any of them unless you understand what they do, how they work, and what they can do for your own setup.

I would suggest a little more research before buying anything.
