Big IF question, if R_volution should make R_video available on Zidoo devices will you subscribe to their service assuming it works well? When and if available I may give it a test try. As of now I am OK with HT4 on my Zidoo UHD5000. Waiting to see if there are reasons to stay with 1.0.75, if not then I may install 1.0.95. Apparently some do not like some features of HT5.
Have to say it's an interesting question, but absolutely and unequivocally not For sooooo many reasons.
But does HT5 work better than HT4? If so, then I am good with different icons. On my remote I have a shortcut to HT4 (below) where I click “Movies” 95% of the time which brings up the alphabetical list. If I intend to watch Zorro I select Z which make getting to Zorro fairly quick. If I want to see the poster wall (fairly rare) then I just select “Search” and leave all the options set to “All”. I just downloaded the APK and installed on my Zidoo Z9X Pro. Seems to work and I did purchase a subscription. https://www.rvolution.com/r-video-for-rvolution-players I've not properly tested it as yet but its installed and scanned all my media.
So when I tried to play any media it wouldn’t do it as it synced the library from my laptop which it couldn’t access. If you create a library on another device it sets that as the server so to speak and any other devices logging into the account it attempts to connect to that library. Trying to add the share again to my NAS from a fresh collection in R_video but it doesn’t seem to be able to access the smb share. Media Center on the Zidoo is able to access the SMB share but R_video doesn’t seem to work despite allowing access when prompted to access files on the network. I’ll keep trying….
