When editing metadata information via the Eversolo, would it be possible to not edit directly the metadata in the music file?

That doesn’t sound good at all and it will prevent me from updating from 1.5,75. Please keep me updated when your impression changes with future firmwares.

  3. I updated too, and you can rest assured that the device runs as smoothly as ever. No problem.

Thanks for your impressions. If there was an easy way to go back to an older firmware I would update immediately…

As some users stated before, more frequent updates with fewer fixes, improvements & new features is the correct approach.

I have 3 album folders that I cannot delete. If I try to delete them via the T8 touch screen it says delete failed.
If I try to delete them from a mapped network drive it appears to delete the contents of the folder but not the folder itself. After reconnecting the files are back again.
I have managed to delete other folders without an issue. The only thing different about these folders are that the contain MP3 files.

This problem was also in the previous firmware. Is there a way to delete these folders without taking the NVME SSD out of the device and installing it in my PC?
    Any help much appreciated.

Try deleting them from the library and clearing its cache. You might also want to delete the playback history. On the computer, first delete the files in the folders, and then the folders themselves.

This doesn’t work because it says that the found firmware is an older version than the one installed, and the update is not possible.

What about getting the basics straight before adding new features. Fixing reported bugs before adding more complexity and adding new bugs.

If a customer tells you, that your device struggles with standard m4a files, you better fix that issue before adding 4 more VU meters.

And although Eversolos commitment with the release of the latest public betas was undouptedly very impressive – it is also obvious that issues had not been tracked adequately before... and as I see it, that was what triggered a veritable avalanche of issues.

I surrendered to my curiosity for the new version and install this beta. One of the first things i noticed is that controlling the side loaded Apple Music app from my old iPad in "screen" mode was 100% smoother than before.

You may want to read the whole document. The point is to circumvent what the internal software does when presented with an older version.
It is described, and it works.

You’re right, I didn’t read it carefully. My lack of knowledge of English made itself felt. But I was thinking about this mode yesterday...
    Thank you.

I'm really happy with this firmware. You've added tags to the dff files, which is great. It would be nice if you could add some more entries like copyright and labels in the next release, and especially folder navigation.

How can I see the caching progress on the streaming progress bar? I tried using Qobuz after enabling this functionality, but the progress bar remained unchanged, as before, with no indication of caching.
The web access works well. You just need to override the browser. At least with Firefox, it automatically adds “https” to the URL after entering the address, and then it expects an SSL certificate. You need to manually change it back to “http”.

It is a more opaque gray bar, showing between the end of the current playback position and the end of the playtime bar. The remaining is a lighter (or less opaque) gray.

It may not work with Qobuz yet?

The built-in Qobuz app has stopped working properly. For example, when you go to view new releases and scroll through them, an infinite loading screen occurs after a while. You have to go back (in my case, to the main screen Qobuz), then reopen the new releases page. Only then do the releases that failed to load finally appear. But as you scroll further, the infinite loading happens again, and you have to repeat the same workaround described above. There are also some strange issues with Qobuz Connect. At first, the phone app detected the T8 but couldn't play anything, throwing an error about the inability to play tracks. After a hard reboot (completely cutting the power), it started working. By the way, caching does not work when using Qobuz Connect, whereas everything is fine in the built-in app
