@charles yale, I contacted the Amazon seller that I purchased the unit from yesterday. Heard back from the US distributor this morning. They provided a shipping label to ship it back and they are replacing the unit for me. As your unit sounds like it's suffering the same issue, they will address it for you. My unit would not power on yesterday and was completely dead, i.e., no light around the volume knob or no Ethernet lights flickering on the back as it was connected to the network with a cable.

Amazon started running me in circles on the web site so I called the seller on their customer service number listed on Amazon directly. That was much more effective. I only bought one other Eversolo component through Amazon but they have a brick and mortar as well. I did purchase an A8 sold by Amazon last year and returned it since the inner box was removed from the outer shipping carton. I suspected that it had been returned by someone, so no more component purchases where Amazon is the seller.

ps. Amazon's return policy allows customers to return products within 30 days. If a returned item passes Amazon's inspection (all accessories included and the product is in good condition), it may be restocked and sold again, even if the outer shipping carton only has opened or replaced tape.
However, if the outer carton or accessories are missing or damaged, Amazon generally classifies the item as not suitable for resale.

I don't think I was clear. I was not trying to return the item, but trying to file the warranty claim. As it was a third party seller, I should have just contacted the seller the first time. Amazon isn't very helpful for warranty claims. They are only good if you return it within the 30 days allowed. After that, you're pretty much out of luck as it's almost impossible to contact a human being on Amazon.

The first A8 I purchased had been someone else's return as the inner box was packed into an Amazon box and the outer OEM carton was missing. Never even removed it from the carton as I was irritated when I realized it was probably an item that someone had opened and returned.

My A6 with the bad power supply is being replaced. Fortier sent me a shipping label yesterday and confirmed that a new unit would be sent once they receive the old one with all the accessories. Fortunately, I always keep OEM boxes and accessories and packed it up and shipped it yesterday. Hopefully I'll have the new unit in a few days. In all my years of buying audio equipment, this is my first warranty claim for a failure. The only other claim I had to make was for UPS damage to an amplifier that should have really been shipped via freight rather than UPS Ground! :)

You have all been very generous with your time and thoughtful responses. Thank you. A power supply is on its way.

With my friend’s assistance (holding the display - protecting the ribbon cable) swapping out the power supply will happen without incident.

    Once again, many thanks!

My DMP-A6 Gen 2 died yesterday. Just wouldn't power on.
A few weeks ago when using it, it would cut out for a few seconds on the first track being player then carry on after around 5 seconds and be fine. That was playing over smb at the time so just thought it was my network being glitchy.
Yesterday when it died, I then came across this forum and thread looking for answers.
I purchased mine in March 2025, so sounds like its included in the bad batch, although it seems to impact more than just production of Feb 2025.

Im actually pretty peeved to be honest. The unit isnt cheap at £800, and its the first electronically equipment I've had died on me for probably 10 years or more. This should have been a recall.

I purchased mine through Peter Tyson in the UK, and im just waiting for them to arrange a courier for collection (luckily still have original packaging)

What im not happy about is that this is a know problem. They've told me they dont stock the replacement power boards, and will probably have to ship this off themselves to be repaired. I cant see this being a very quick process. I'm also a little disappointed as it seems even with the replaced improved power board, some people's units have died again after that.

I hope this doesnt end up being a long drawn out drama trying to get it sorted.

This was used in a second living room, I would be surprised if its been on for more than 25 - 30 hours in total.

    Totally disappointed.

I haven't seen any posts indicating that units have died after the power board replacement. I sent my unit back last week for the same issue. I was told that my unit would be replaced. If I were to have the second unit fail again, I will be extremely disappointed too. I would probably opt for a different brand after that. Mine is also on a secondary system in my office being used with powered speakers. It didn't have a whole lot of use until last May as my job was transitioned to full-time work at home. It never did anything strange, it just would not power on when I went to use it last week.

Theres multiple posts on reddit where units have had a replacmemt power board, but then they have reported the unit has died again.

Personally this should be done under a recall. These units will end up on used market places and buyers potentially unaware of these problems. For the ones lucky enough to still have a working unit, hit with a board thats likely to die, thats an expensive purchase for someone when it then falls out of the 2 year warranty for this issue.

If mine fails again, I’d probably do the after market power supply. After December, I’ll probably get rid of it as I’m retiring and won’t really use it after that. As for the cost, it’s not that much when compared to the amp and preamp I’m trying to sell.

I have a T8, T10, and DMP-A10 and they have had zero issues. I use the T10 the most as it’s on my main 2-channel system.

My brand new unit showed up in today's mail. Hopefully, it doesn't have one of the power supplies from the February 2025 batch. On the exterior of the unit, there doesn't seem to be any sort of marking that would indicate a date code. My Mark Levinson amp and preamp do have date codes on them. Bryston have date codes on their units as well. Maybe there's something inside the unit with a date stamped on it. If the power supply fails on this one, I'll go for the aftermarket power supply.

Some brands just don't have any dates on the exterior like my Moon amp and have had Rotel with no date indication on the exterior of the unit.

That's a bummer! I missed those on reddit before I bought mine. I thought that once replaced all was good. Do you have a link to them?

edit: this claim appears to be somewhat histrionic; maybe my search super powers have failed me but neither I nor ChatGPT can find "multiple" cases of repeated power supply failures reported on reddit or elsewhere.
I found ONE report on pink fish media which had no follow up confirmation of the fault and a report on AsR that may or may not have been a second failure.... DJ H3av3N are you able to substantiate this worrying claim ?

Edit 2: Five days and no response - No other posts from same person (just 2 on this specific topic). I call this claim totally unsubstantiated and recommend ignoring it.
