But this would inevitably reflect bad measurements, which is exactly the opposite of what @Milky was trying to explain to me...

Yes Nutul, Honesty sometimes carries a hefty price tag, But I must admit, I could be wrong, but almost certain the first part of your comment would be true and correct,

It’s just been nice and somewhat peaceful the way that it should be just my opinion !

Distortion measurements have little corrilation to SQ in today's gear.Distotion is already super low

In my own opinion, the talk... the whole talk, tells nothing.
Just analyse it from the very first word, to the last: no clue, no information, no explanation, no-nothing...
I tend to stay away from these charlatans, as far as I can.

    Kindly, Al.

Whatever. I really cannot find any sense in what he says... just half-sentences, together with some "c'mon's" and the like. Seriously, do you find it professional...?

Audio sales HYPE, same situation/story different year , let it be somewhat reasonable and opened to question not all but extremely a great
Deal of , pertaining to content… ✌️ personally speaking, will at least give it a pass… I have
Viewed numerous of these episodes. Most people overlook and are completely detached
In view of what they are actually watching and why, and rarely ever pertaining to the actual question or questions at hand, In depth, just my personal observations … ;-)
I absolutely do see and acknowledge what is in question here, however there’s a whole lot more
technically, speaking and pertaining to these issues and questions . To be addressed in such a short Operational discussion to a question to be left and open to debate or form any correct or valid opinions
This is just my humble observation,

    * I do apologize respectfully speaking,
    This was not my debate,
    Have a nice weekend, everyone
    Happy listening- ;-) …
    To All.

No, my friend. It is not like that.
It is just he's saying nothing... just a bunch of sentences that could accomodate for believers and non-believers (in audio magiks) too.
There is no straight YES, or NO, answer... just blablabla to my ears.
Were it a YES, I'd agree at least. Were it a NO I would have disagreed at least. Niether of, I am just left disarmed at what say / debate / analyse / whatever.

See, @Milky, I am not just always saying the contrary of what you (or anybody else, FWIW...) say. I am just trying to find logic and common sense in statements that are (almost) always taken as truth.
I am not the "It is what it is because it has always been so" kind of guy, but I think you already know that, right? ;-)

*Nutul, I would have to certainly agree with you, especially in your statement pertaining to what is questionable or possible as to yes, or no in response
in this particular situation , however, I believe you do know the nature of my scripts most certainly as of this present time , along with good number of fourm
Members ;-) we are all individuals. They’ll have experienced very different summations throughout life. The only thing we may have in common is
The Eversolo units and as you stated in one of your post, we are all addicted, but many different ways, however, but what is logical, true, and correct
some folks inevitably still have different points of view, although maybe not correct, however if not , time itself hopefully will correct certain beliefs,,
    And opinions,

I Certainly would not have agreed with you’re above statement, I do believe I stated the same such as yourself, but went about it in a indirect way, as you
Are absolutely a little more decisive and direct. I do believe that, MILIKY is merely just trying to state an opinion , as to personal beliefs, perhaps maybe
Not true or correct, but personal beliefs and opinions, I do believe in time , and experience some beliefs and opinions that were formed will most likely
Change, and will form more of the correct, tried and true way of the use and implementation and such understanding, as feedback and distortion
Within AUDIO units and devices in general, but I can absolutely without doubt see your entire point of view, thank you for letting me intervene
in your posted conversation, please have an enjoyable and nice weekend. Enjoy the music, as I often say I believe that’s why you obtained aStereo System,
    to put it in a more forward, expression ✌️ ;-}

You got the point, almost correctly.
As you suggested me, some time ago, I am trying to be as little "harsh" as I can... it is hard on my side, you may understand, but still, I try... and TBH I see some positive results.
But it is still hard for me to just blindly accept some empty nonsense. I am a tech guy. I need / want facts, no fancy word-merry-go-rounds...

Absolutely agreed with that statement , however, patience is a virtue. no one ever said it was going to be easy, not that you
Inquired, but that seems to be the only consistent practice, ;-} ✌️

THD and IMD aren't the only parameters that affect sound quality. At levels of under 0.01% even the most critical listeners can't tell if it is lower (albeit some will claim to have "golden ears" and can but not reliably in a double blind ABX test).
Slew rate (if slow enough) will negatively impact on the bandwidth of an amplifier and on transient response. Phase shift across the passband can affect imagining and clarity of the sound manifesting itself as smearing the sound. Likewise poor noise performance even outside of the audible range can make the sound grainy even if the frequency response over the audio range is ruler flat and the THD and IMD are very low. Now IME, designing and getting an amplifier or DAC to overcome all these problems isn't easy. It not only boils down to good design, but the layout topology of the PCB / wiring matters as does the choice of components * to a certain extent. * Note: the best components will still perform badly in a poor design and / layout topology. This is where some audiophools miss the point. If the design is poor or flawed replacing standard film capacitors with expensive Duelunds, M-Caps, Clarity Caps et al is going to be a complete waste of time and money. You can put a pearl necklace and lipstick on a pig, but it's still going to be a pig.

There are different methods to implement negative feedback. The three common methods are global, nestled and a combination of the former two. Buffer stages are often configured to have no or unity gain, thus use 100% negative feedback and if correctly implemented generally doesn't have any significant impact on sound quality. The audiophile community often has a high percentage of participants who believe they know everything about audio electronics but don't have a single qualification between them. No surprises that forums such as Audiokarma and DIY Audio are full of weekend hacks that don't even understand Ohm's Law but will profess to know absolutely everything about good audio design based purely on the fact they swapped out a half decent Wima film capacitor for a Duelund and somehow discovered "night and day" differences between the two. Sure, some gear is made with very cheap parts albeit based on a very good design but by in large the more expensive gear has by-passed the cost cutting of the bean counters and actually made it into production and onto the marketplace. In such cases the engineers who may have spent years refining the design didn't just put a Wima capacitor in there to save a few bucks, they chose the right part of the job without compromising performance.

A lot is often argued relentlessly in audio forums about THD, IMD, slew rate, frequency response linearity, noise et al, but the most often forgotten part of the listening experience which seems to get swept under the rug but is frequently the most to blame for a less than satisfactory listening experience is the acoustics of the listening room. All those out of phase reflections and room nodes / resonances are really going to have an impact on what you hear. A bit of phase shift in your amplifier or DAC is nothing compared to what happens in the average listening room.

The high-end audio world is full of scams and myths. Fuses that cost $1,000, $2,000 power cables, $500 interconnects, special stones you put on top of your DAC or streamer that somehow imparts that component with magical properties you could otherwise not achieve. The only magic is these snake oil charlatans have not developed a product that revolutionises the audio industry, but more like a way of selling you a false dream and a way of draining your wallet. BTW, just to make it crystal clear. I don't give a rodent's behind what people spend their money on. It's their money and they can do whatever they see fit with it.

Why would they?If you’re comparing it to chip-based DACs like the ESS9038 or AK4499, the Harmony µDAC is in a different category.
The LAiV Harmony µDAC doesn’t use a conventional off-the-shelf DAC chip like ESS or AKM—instead, it’s built around a fully discrete R-2R ladder network

Why would anyone who has sold their A8 even come to an A8 specific forum and have the chance to answer the question?

That’s nothing, how can someone here , on this Fourm speak and discuss a units operational features functions, etc. an in-depth detail
When they never even possess that unit either in the past or present, stupider than the above question do you think ? I would certainly assume you would agree ?
Perhaps you can tell me I’d like to know knowledge is a wonderful thing. Perhaps someone can answer correctly,
On the use of a particular unit and others , I would really like to know.
Like I’ve stayed in another post perhaps it’s a magic units ? The most interesting part this guy
Is the first one at the door when somebody files a minor griper or complaint?,
Well, that’s usually the case but this individual will state unlimited excuses & reasons why
He is such an informative ongoing expert knowledge on something he never even had or used, or
Possesses absolutely no experience with a very particular piece of equipment .

Can Someone tell me, idk ??? Simply amazing I wish I had such abilities :)
Please, I anxiously await your thoughts and opinion, Please have an enjoyable weekend, everyone

** A very amazing observation I have noticed since this post the tides are starting to turn to a certain degree. I wonder why ?

@wwjokerk Stupid question? OK if you think so. But I just wonder how many people who no longer have the gear would bother coming to this forum. My 3rd or 4th bike was a CB750k and I'm not driven to hit a Honda forum and say "I sold the CB and have a BMW now!". Maybe I'm odd. It's been said before.
