    I get “Zidooplexmod: Error: None” when trying to play media with Kodi 21.2 and v1.05d reverting to the previous version works fine.
    I have enabled debug in plextozidoo but that doesn’t even start when trying to play media, I immediately get this error.

    Running on a Z9X Pro 4K.

    I notice that : If I close ZDMC an open it again, the ZidooPlexMod extension doesn't open automatically even if i select it in the parameters, I have to go to the extension menu and execute it

    Turn on debug in the ZidooPlexMod and then let me know and I can tell you where to upload the file. Details on how to collect debug data are in the first post.

    I'm not able to reproduce that here on my Z9X Pro. Have you tried rebooting the Zidoo or disabling and then re-enabling the auto start option? Can you enable kodi debug and collect the log? Then let me know so I can tell you where to upload it.

    I tried to collect debug logs, but the files folder in com.zidoo.zdmc remains empty even though I enabled debug, exit out of everything and open it again (as described in the first post), is this the same for when you use Kodi and not zdmc?

    Edit: I notice it’s not with all movies, only specific ones and at random as well.

    If you're using Kodi then the folder won't be com.zidoo.zdmc. You'll need to find the Kodi folder in that same directory.

    Only had time today to take a quick look at your log but it looks like maybe you have PM4K installed as well. I wonder if there's a conflict between the two. I can look more tomorrow but if you do have PM4K installed you could try uninstalling(or maybe just disabling auto start up) and see if that solves the issue.

    Agreed! I'm loving the update. So many little fixes in there, but I'm especially stoked about the Watch List finally making it in, and being able to add and remove from it within the app.

    I cant get 1 of my boxes to see the update. Tried some restarts etc. Is there a way to force it to see it?

    Could try refresh of the repository, that might help..

    I’ve been out of town for the last 2 weeks, and it looks like there was an update to this plugin that broke things for me.

    I’m running a UHD8000, and running ZDMC.

    When I load ZidooPlexMod, I get the error of “ZidooPlexMod error”.

    Everything worked fine before, and no changes have been made that I’m aware of. I’ve also restarted the Zidoo.

    I also have no issues getting content to play via the native plex app.

    The log is attached. Much appreciated for any help!

    I also have the exact same error with the same hardware. It seemed to me that I couldn't watch TV shows but I could watch movies when I was testing it. I rolled back and no more error.

    This is from your log

    2025-11-01 14:11:15.043 T:9131 info <general>: CAddonMgr::FindAddons: script.plex v0.3.5 installed
    2025-11-01 14:11:15.044 T:9131 info <general>: CAddonMgr::FindAddons: script.zidooplexmod v1.0.5d_zidoo installed

    As you can see there is a script.plex installed. I was thinking that was the PM4K addon but I think it might be the original Plex For Kodi work, I'm not really sure. Either way I think that is what is causing a problem with the startup. I'm not a kodi expert so I'm not exactly sure how to delete that addon other than looking through all of your addons and seeing if it's listed. If not you may have to do a fresh install of Kodi(ZDMC) to get rid of it.

    That log is empty so nothing for me to look at. And are you saying you can't even start the addon? Or do you get that error when you're trying to watch something?

    Yes, as @JS_racer said you can force a refresh of the repository. To do that go into the repository and then click to the left and a side bar will open up with a refresh option.

    I uninstalled the add-on plex v0.3.5 and quit ZDMC, then open ZDMC again, and Plex appear at login via Zidooplexmod ! Thanks a lot for your help

    I tried with ZDMC as well, same error also not being able to find kodi.log in any folder over smb. (I think the .kodi folder is throwing the files app on my ipad off)
