Still not able to get this going. I tried turning off the plex.direct: Honor... settings in ZidooPlexMod. Unfortunately I did not get the prompt that is supposed to come up when I start ZidooPlexMod. I have tried restarting the device, but still get the same thing. I am not sure about adjusting the DNS binding settings in my router. I have my PMS set to only prefer secure connections not require them and I have my local network set to be able to connect without auth. I'm not sure what else to try.

Since it doesn't sound like you want to touch the router then you definately don't want to turn off the plex.direct handling. You should set it to always. It's possible the pompt is only in the beta they've been working on forever. You could collect the debug info and maybe I can figure out what the issue is but this isn't a ZidooPlexMod issue, it's in either the main PM4K project or more likely just an envrionment/config issue.

Thank you for offering to help. I am not totally opposed to changing router settings, I've just never needed to do that before so and I'm not sure how or if my router supports that.

I've tried turning on debug logging and collecting a log but that doesn't seem to be working either. I navigate to the folder where the log should be and either there is nothing there or (once) there was a log file but it appears to blank. It seems that I am in a little over my head hear, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're doing but the log file is always there regardless of the debug settings. Are you following the directions in the first post on how to collect the log?

Yes, following the instructions. Confirmed debug logging is on, restarted device, launched ZDMC, Launched ZidooPlexMod, selected primary plex user in my plex account, no libraries visible, went to log location and found log. I have done this twice and now have two kodi.log files. They are both only 3 bytes and appear to be blank.

Well, looks like I will need to return this Z9X 8K since I can't get Plex to work. I wish HT4 was more advanced because I love the concept, but without Plex it isn't enough better than my Shield Pro

Okay works fine but I cannot find any option to do the add on at start up and I went through the add on system section

In order to get ZidooPlexMod to start on boot you have to have Kodi set to auto start(from the apps screen). Then you need to set ZidooPlexMod to auto start inside of Kodi(from the ZidooPlexMod settings).

I understand. There is no option to auto start in zidoo plex mod settings

You don't have the option that is highlighted in the picture?

That’s inside plex itself? I thought you said addon settings inside kodi. I wasn’t in plex settings. I was in settings addons zidoo plex mod and system settings. I’ll look inside the app.

I do plan on updating the fork and I've been keeping my local repo up to date with all of the beta versions but with so many changes going in I won't push out anything until things settle down. So yes I will update but no outlook on when that will be. The amount of changes going in that don't work with this fork or break this fork is really time consuming to weed through so please be patient.

ok, I know it's been a while since we've had a new stable build but here it is. I pushed version 1.0.5d_zidoo of ZidooPlexMod to the repo, your system should update automatically at some point but it can be lazy about it. As you may have noticed I changed the versioning to line up with the PM4K release so it's easier to tell which version this fork is based on. There are a TON of changes in this release so please let me know if there are any issues.

If you want to see the change log here is the 1.0.0 version of PM4K(https://forums.plex.tv/t/pm4k-plexmod-for-kodi-18-19-20-21-22/481208/4959) and here is the 1.0.5d maintenance release change log(https://forums.plex.tv/t/pm4k-plexmod-for-kodi-18-19-20-21-22/481208/5152). Just remember not all of the changes made in PM4K apply to the Zidoo, especially any of the ones that affect the Seek Dialog or the video player since we don't use the Kodi video player.
