Phono-In Problems

So on your screenshot “Phono IN” is just the name of the config, right? You renamed “Config 1” to “Phono IN” and it’s got nothing to do with the actual input.
I would also like to have an automatic switch to another config when listening to Vinyl. I hope that they implement it in a future firmware update.

Yeah, you got my point and you’re right screenshot wise. I created 3 config setups. 1. for the internal player named internal player, 2. for Phono-In named Phono-In and a 3. one for ARC named, guess what, ARC.

There's a button in the playback details for setting the EQ; you can quickly switch between modes from there.

I noticed that thank you but still have to do that manually. :(

Yes, I am -- it sounds perfectly fine to me (and I've been listening critically to music for more than half a century). Ironically, I even have a separate phono preamp that I haven't yet inserted into the chain which I KNOW will make it sound even better. The "problem" is I'm kind of a purist and hate to then be forced to use the "Line In" input instead of the "Phono In" input on the EP. Of course I do hate to see that preamp just SITTING there all orphaned up 'n stuff but I suspect I'll relent soon. ;)

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Do you use the EQ of the Play to tune the sound of your turntable? I need to do that, otherwise it sounds like I wrote several times before.

You're welcome. Just my 2-cent opinion. I've been actively and passively involved in music for many decades, but it's also not out of the realm of possibility that your ears are more discerning than mine -- it's all subjective I guess.

In any event and in answer to your question: No, I haven't used the EQ on the EP to tune my turntable. I just got the EP a few days ago and am still experimenting (and enjoying the product overall). I suppose I could apply DSP (presuming it still is applicable since I'm sending a USB out to a separate DAC), but I'm more or less in the, if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it camp. I'll experiment with it at some point though, and (hopefully, if I remember) report back here.

It may due to noise level internally is very high in Player.
I found out the speaker out have very high noise level, where ground power noise could be resolved by ground connection, but ground connection is not helpful to reduce noise level.
Therefore, it must a internal noise due to PCB/design problem causing the noise, which may impact the sound quality.
