Hello, I have a Zidoo Z20 Pro with an internal hard drive that I can't manage to share or see on my home network, whether using Samba sharing with a required username and password or in anonymous mode. I'm using the latest firmware: 1.95_G Google Play version. Do you have any ideas?
presumably you have the Samba server switched on in network settings Can you access via the IP address? - for example typing “\\192.168.0.10” in file explorer in windows. (obviously using your own ip address!!)
Yes, I can access it from my computer if I enable password access; anonymous access doesn't work. Zidoo isn't detected on my LG TVs or Android TVs, whether anonymous or with a password.
If you can see it from your PC it means the Zidoo Samba server is correctly set up on the network and SMB shares are accessible. Not sure why you can't access it anonymously though - I'm using Windows 11 and have my Samba server set up as below and it works just fine: (This screenshot is from a Z9X 8K but it works equally well on the older Realtek models) Are the TV's looking for a DNLA server instead of a Samba server perhaps?
