    I would like to use a external SD card on Zidoo and share it to my local network so I can copy files to it etc. I suppose, with OpenWrt and a directory shared with Samba, I can do this. The problem I have however, and forgive me because I am not familiar with android file system structure, is when I go to

    OpenWrt->NAS Services->Samba->Shared Directories

    How do I find the path of the external SD card to input it in the Path input box? Any examples?

    Ok, update to this. I got the Mount point from this, went to Samba->Shared Directories, and put

    Name: sdext
    Path: the path I got from the mount point
    Allow guests: ticked

    Clicked "Save and Apply" and nothing happened. I checked the log and I see error about json. Should I upload the log file error?

    Is there a print spooler available too under OpenWrt?

    Here's the last lines of the OpenWrt system log when I try to add shared dir in Samba. I do as I saw in the video above but when I click Save & Apply, nothing happens and the following appears

    The issue happens with the external SD card I added at the back of the machine. With USB devices, it sees them without config and tried copying files yesterday.

    My question is why having problem to set my ext sd card as a shared samba device and not any other USB device (I tried a 8GB USB stick and a 500GB USB 3 2.5" HDD). The SD card can be seen by x9s normally in the explorer and so are the contents.

    Guys, we really need an answer in that. Proof that ext SD card is not mounted is the video posted by HaoSs here

    http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...eaming-with-nfs-or-smb.3293/page-2#post-16167

    In 0:12 second, you can see that there is a 16GB SD card attached with mount point /dev/mmcblk1p1. There is also an external 2TB USB HDD with mount pont /mnt/sda1.

    In 0:21, in the SAMBA Shared Directories, /dev/mmcblk1p1 is absent. I am really looking forward for an answer as to WHY the ext SD card cannot be mounted in SAMBA.

    Hi,

    I have one issue which I think is related to samba service or mount point configurations.

    Issue I face is that using my laptop and opening or saving files in My Documents folder which is moved over zidoo NAS shared drive, I can't use Recycle Bin functionality. At the moment I already have approximately 110k files moved on that drive and stop using this setup is not really easy option. I would very much appreciate if you can help with the issue I face.
    Notification message comes up each time I try to save, open something on zidoo NAS remote My Documents folder.

    So far what I have read in internet most probably issue is related to permissions, folder permissions are not sufficient.

    here is description of my setup:
    * HDD connected via SATA connector to x9s device
    * HDD formated as NTFS/ GPT
    * PC using Windows 10 OS
    * windows account with admin rights
    * My Documents folder location is moved to shared samba drive on x9s
    * samba config template (default):
    [global]
    netbios name = |NAME|
    interfaces = |INTERFACES|
    server string = |DESCRIPTION|
    unix charset = |CHARSET|

    deadtime = 30
    encrypt passwords = yes
    enable core files = no
    guest account = nobody

    security = user
    smb encrypt = disabled
    smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd
    socket options = TCP_NODELAY IPTOS_LOWDELAY
    syslog = 2
    use sendfile = yes
    max xmit = 65535
    max connections = 8
    dns proxy = no
    writeable = yes
    vfs objects = posixacl
    aio read size = 0
    aio write size = 0

    * openwrt mount point - default (attached picture with mount point information + permissions view of test file on samba share + permission view of test folder on samba share)

    let me know if you need any more information

    Can anyone from Zidoo tech let me know about the above issue with the mounting of SD cards? Just to know because I know they are busy with many many things... I believe I posted enough information.
