I can read measurements, also I performed test with two identical RME units side by side, no golden ears, but it was obvious. As for Eversolo - I'll report later.
If you understood then you wouldn’t even be bothering, read and learn it will make you less gullible to snake oil. Keith
I have theory and practice, you have only theory, so don't tell me about snake oil, just go on and try to listen and perform DBT, then we speak.
Please show me the photographs of your level matched and unsighted comparison two A-6s one with ‘boutique’ power supply. If you understood measurements we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/eversolo-dmp-a6-streamer-review.44198/
A separate ps will not make the slightest difference, Matias Carstens states that in the unit’s manual and corroborated by measurements. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...version-2-dac-and-headphone-amp-review.13379/ Spend the time, effort and cash on changes which will make an improvement which are always speakers and room. Keith
So why did they made the own PSU? Here is interview with Matias about this. https://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/series/dal/1541063.html
To make more money, Matias says its only use is for extremely accurate measurement when the Pro is used as an ADC. There will be no audible difference. Keith
For you maybe, but I clearly hear difference, it's only reason I bought LPSU to my RME. My setup is far from esoteric - ATC 19, Densen DM 10 and RME/Apogee DA1000, but it's quite revealing and even non-audio persons can describe changes in sound.
comparisons have to be unsighted and level matched to .1dB with a milli volt meter if you know which you are listening to then it’s just not valid. Join ASR, you will learn , save yourself some money and not be taken in by snake oil. Keith
Ah the ‘magic sauce’. They certainly tell you that there is no power supply noise in either the A-6 or RME. Keith
Once again - I've already tested different PSU's with RME, you did not, what are we taking about? Please get some real life experience or stop repeating same thing in a different way, that's not useful to me.
Please, unsighted/ level matched you obviously haven’t, on the bright side your gullibility is ‘supporting’ the industry. Keith
Oh, you're joking a hope? Two dacs same time with same level in same system on different inputs of amplifier - I was sure there will be no difference, but I was wrong as you now. Important notice - I doubt that it's about noise, just different coloration maybe, which much more pleasant to ears.
Well... Seems you have golden ears? I have RME Adi 2 DAC FS for several years. Tested with a few LPS and also with IFI Power Blocks. To take it to the top, I drove RME by a battery - cleanest power one can get. Did I notice any difference? I heard nothing changed! And by the way... And the manufacturer of RME Adi 2 DAC FS does not know what he says: So you are a strong believer. Believe and throw your money out the window to those audiofool power supply tuners. They made this units just for people like you.
I'm certified engineer, so I can read measurements, be sure) You can keep spreading Amirs crappy measurements or check things yourself, it's up to you. I mentioned my home setup earlier - no need for golden ears, it not subtle change.
