Nice!! I'll go ahead and test it. It's my first upgrade since purchase, I've seen elsewhere that we need to do a factory reset before or after the upgrade. Is that necessary? I'm afraid it would reset all my read status on movies and series, and reset all libraries, would prefer not to.
Ok, installed, havent tested everything yet, but I do confirm that seamless branching is still an issue. For ex, hangs at 1:11:40 in Sucker Punch Blu-Ray.

Hello Xliv How did you manage to install, I have tried with a usb drive without success and the OTA is not available yet?
I downloaded the file from here and saved it as is (do not unzip) on a USB thumb drive. Be sure that the zip is complete (I tried downloading with Chrome, it stopped at 315MB, but did not say that the download was incomplete... worked well with Safari). Then on the Zido, plug the USB drive, and go to the Update app, do a local update. It was quick.
ok thanks, still no good , what I dont understand is the file that I downloaded from your link is already unzipped ( 919mb), you advise not to unzip ? also when I go into the Update app it is not shown as a local update but as a usb update? I think I need to wait for the OTA.
Maybe your browser has an auto-unzip function? Which browser are you using to download the zip file? With Safari, I uncheck "Open safe files after download" because on Mac, somehow, when you open a zip file, it automatically decompresses it and put the zip in the trash. Regarding the other point: you're right, not local but "USB update".

I had the same problem. I've tried to copy the file on 2 different external drives, even copied it on the internal HDD. Always the same stop after upgrade function checked the file. Then I've found the solution: I changed the language to English (my setting was French). And it works! Hope it help and fix the issue on your end too
Ok all sorted, many thanks to all, still no spdif into my dac, so disappointing and have to still use the usb option.
I'm getting issues with this firmware 1. SMB does not work in ZDMC 17.6 or 18 (uninstalled and re-installed without success) 2. Random reboots of z1000. Watching a movie clip or movie and it justs drops with zidoo logo until it goes back to main menu. 3. Of first reboot after the firmware upgrade, I had multiple GUI Freezes..
hi,i have the Z1000 Is there any way to change the subtitle scraper in the z1000 because when i press on download subtitles the only languages that i’m seeing is Eng/srt I live in the Netherlands and therefore want to have Dutch subtitles. "Opensubtiles" is What i want to use as my ‘scraper’
