New firmware V1.5.05

Today in France, new firmware via OTA. V1.5.50. What changes have been made? I couldn't find this information.

I also didn’t understand what you meant by ‘something has been added’.

I didn’t notice any changes at all.

I was really looking forward to Harman in the room calibration, but unfortunately, it’s not there.

HEY; I noticed after installing the 1.5.05 update that in music player the sort criteria albumartist is replaced by artist. That is bad! I don't want to have artist only appearing in sampler in the listing, I prefer albumartist. Is this a new bug or can I adjust the listing???

 

What I see with the new firmware:
I'm using the DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen2only for multichannel (DSD and flac(pcm)) in using the HDMI out.
Formerly it was no problem (starting the AVP before the DMP-A6) to play directly flacs in 5.1.
Now it will downsampling it to 2.0, if I start playing at first flacs. I've to play at first a multichannel DSD and switch back to the flac.
Also only restarting the DMP-A6 doesn't change this behavior.

 

Bad update!

Completely messed up the local music library, ignores album artist and thus makes a mess of compilations and artist view browsing.

@Zidoo Support-Kim will this be fixed or should I re-work my whole library metadata? The way it is now is really bad. For a single compilation, I have like 20 entries in Artist view, each with one song.

 

Totally agree big issue with the local music library with a single album I have now many new entries in Artist view !

 

Just another reason for not updating the firmware on a device until there are numerous reviews posted. I've been burned more than once with a bad firmware update.

 

I agree with the above statement, I will not update or change, what appears to be working and performing quite well, at present I always wait until
The upgrade seems complete and been in use and established to be in safe or good working order.
It’s quite nice of Eversolo to establish a continuous improvement with better add-ons and features, etc.
I would imagine that some of these updates are upgrades would be quite useful. I would assume to a very great deal of users
But as I review the updates or upgrades, in numerical &’numbered list in which is changing or what’s improving a great number
of those changes and updates really don’t apply to myself in their use of, but I am most certain there are quite a good number of Eversolo
Users that would welcome most uor some of its new and employed uses in their update or upgrades.I may just find that some of these newer versions, features useful
In the foreseeable future, I am quite pleased with the A8’s current
Operational and over all performance at this time, no problems whatsoever

Well, someone has to go forward into unknown territory and face the dangers ;-) or how would anyone know? At least I only updated 1 unit out of three to test the waters. I just wish a little QC testing was done before releasing new updates.

I know it’s not the correct way to play the game. I do agree with you, but I’ve had my turn quite a few times
But I absolutely understand where you’re coming from, but I would imagine you would agree where I’m coming from

Ha! I have to say there is a tiny bit of guilt allowing others to be my coal mine canaries, but it is always a sound policy to wait. I am happy to be one round behind on new goodies if it means avoiding cataclysm.
