Sussed it.

If you use a filtered video wall - eg, "Movies" or "TV" or indeed the filters, then the sort icon doesn't appear.

If you go it through "All" or "Collections" it's there...

 

Mine is on All so would explain it .

I know that was aimed at Sledgehamma - but that's how it works for me.

 

True but rooting seems pretty safe - but just not working for me.

As its a system app it's not a simple matter of uninstalling.

As you say its a small feature and it looks as if other people have the same issue.

 

By the looks of it you need to have H.T.v4 set to view all etc

All stayed the same here...

 

If you've rearranged posters, they remain in the order you set them in any view.

 

Yes, that's it! I don't use 'ALL' as I have a mix of Movies and TV. New feature does not work if you go in via MOVIES or TV.

 

I did mine from "All" so maybe try that?

Thought of that - it's not in the .hometheatre directory or any other hidden directory and it's not in the database from what I can see...

 

Sounds like you might need a factory reset, but make sure you know your settings and backup the database first!

 

HT4 v4.0.51 introduced new columns COLLECTION_CUSTOM_SORT and CUSTOM_SERIAL_NUMBER in the table aggregation.
