New Eversolo Control App - Now Available for Trial!

Yes it is fixed if selecting the folder on the Front Panel. But you can't select big folders anymore using the updated V1.14.40 APP?!
The folder command/selection is simply ignored now. Using "Cast mode" is a working bypass.

Tried with 1000 and 2000 entries with identical results (These are Top 1000/2000 title selections of various sources in a single folder).
When fixed will update my review with this essential bug fix.
Update: Problem was reproduced by Eversolo staff and is being worked on.

The bug was reported by me years ago. Several generations Zidoo players still have it. The same for multiple CD Player/Ripper bugs fixed for Eversolo but not for Zidoo.
It would be very nice if these could be applied for Zidoo Media Players too?

 

Tried the new app yesterday and so far so good! The design is according to me better, and overall layout better as well. Good work!



One feedback topic though: would it be possible to implement a nicer/bigger/more clear volume control while in the app? E.g. when I'm watching TV through ARC and want to change volume the volume slide and "+" and "-" buttons are very small and only using a small part of the screen size. Maybe a digital volume knob or something like that could be implemented? E.g. the Trinnov app is quite nice in this regard, see picutre.

 

We have a better idea. Will show the list faster in the next firmware release.

It would be nice if we could rename (edit in general) folders and files via the control app.
Also create and delete folders via the app.

I have a suggestion. Currently, the song details in the album display the album name. Could this be changed to show the artist's name instead, like in the second image?

Bug:

The Android app incorrectly states that a track is PCM 5.6 MHZ when it should state DSD 5.6 MHZ. The front panel is correct at the same time though. Here are pics of the 2

 

Also, there should be a way to create your own filter in the Library based upon metadata. For example, Multi-channel music, DSD files >dsd64, PCM files > 192mhz, etc.

 

Not sure if this is related to the new controller software but when I use Squeezeconnect after another after playing first track the volume jumps up 5db on its own for next track and any thereafter. If never used to do this. The player in LMS is set to 100% fixed so had no control of the volume of the DMP A8. It seems to set it to the safety volume level which is currently - 30db. I had it at a different level of -25db and it jumped 5db again from -30 to -25. In my room this is a big jump and not pleasant to hear it. It didn’t do this prior to this. I reset firmware recently and had no updates since.

Dmpa8 1.4.32 firmware and latest 1.12.12 app on iPhone.

@bob it seems its not the app as reverted to the release app, it appears it might be the Bluetooth remote control doing this strangely. I decided to turn off the bluetooth as tried everything else I could think of. When I restarted the machine it didnt exhibit the behaviour, but does it all the time when its enabled. So this is some odd issue the tech team should look at. It seems it raises it to whats set as Volume Limit not safety volume got the two confused.

 

Would it be possible to add in a new software a couple of new VU meters similar to below attached design, but on a black background with blue, orange, yellow indicators and marks? It would be nice to have such VU meters for an evening listening in a dark room.

 

Well that didn’t last it’s doing it again now after unit has been left paused for a while come back adjusts volume to -30db.
