New beta version v1.0.95 for Z9X PRO/Z20 PRO/Z2000 PRO/Z2600/UHD5000 release

Shane Lee is not a numpty I have this issue now on my Z9X Pro so an issue with HT5 as was not an issue on HT4. But as I say it only affects I think one movie I have so not a deal breaker. However it is something that should be looed at as looks very shonky!

 

Thank you again for the old HT4 icons zip file. But looks like the Bored mode and Dolby icons are missing. Could you pleas send it to?

 

My HT5 dont play the trailers. I set it like usuall 3sec… when i click on the trailer icon same shit. whats wrong?

It not play, still if i waite 5 min. Thats the point. Its a bug

 

It works for me. I have to wait approx. 20sec. Maybe only for few movies doesn't work.

 

Have you tried to play local trailers only?

 

I don't use local trailers. But the local mp4 works... There is still a bug with the YouTube API... that sucks

 

If it can't find a trailer you will get a message quite quickly saying none available. If it can find one the wait for play is 20-30 secs.

 

For me it works ok... So it's not a bug but something at your end. Which language is set at your box?

 

Hello, was your update done online or with firmware 0.95 on a USB key?
Did you leave the external hard drives connected to the USB ports during the update?
(Personally I left my hard drives on the zidoo as it was an online update)

Does anyone have a solution please to resolve this problem? My disk works very well (no errors on PC (CHKDSK...)

For me, the online trailers start after 10-15 seconds.

 

I have set german.

 

I am assuming that the query fetching the youtube trailers is based on the language set, somehow. Not sure is it true. However actually all trailers I can see are English, but some having Polish subtitles displayed automatically somehow.
So if there is some German user for whom the trailers are working ok, this will indicate that the problem is at your end. I am form Poland and I am using Polish language at HT/PW... and English at the rest of the interface including system settings.

Cancel above. Actually online trailers stop working at my end too. It was working ok 2 days ago. So definitely this time YouTube changed something again…

 

I have been playing around with some icons.
I have combined new icons with the old colours and the circle shape.
My work in progress looks like this now - HT5 using HT4 colours and circle but HT5 icons.

Maybe I will also try to use the new rectangular shape but with the old HT4 colours... or maybe some ovals like in the example below.

 

Then we now know that is a bug to the new FW.

 

Could be temporary or Youtube have made some changes, as ZDMC (youtube addon) trailers (which are nornally bullet proof) are not working at the moment either.

 

Blame YouTube and not Zidoo. YouTube does everything to prevent third party apps to access their content, what is actually their good right.

 

Confirmed here as well. Sigh. I'll say it again Zidoo should remove the option to play online trailers if they can't find a way to have a robust solution - or a method to send a quick update to fix when API changes. Since this option was first introduced I think its only worked for about 10% of the time

 

Update - thought it may have been a glitch...trailers on HT5 and ZDMC back working again....so not a Zidoo issue.
