It works faster, specially when it handles a large bunch of movies, with more clear presentation!!

Better to set the background as transparent then it doesn't matter what the UI wallpaper is.

It would be great to have all the HT5 icons like these that you modified. The transparency effect that you gave to the icons is much nicer than the original ones. Could you modify them all? Or tell me how to modify them and I'll do it. Unfortunately I can't do it. Unfortunately I don't know how to use photoshop

Is there actually an HomeTheater 5.apk ?
I would like to try installing it on an old Z9X.

    Well, you're in luck!

I was about to reply and say I haven't the time or inclination to get into that, but as it happens when I checked the folder I'd actually created icons for most, if not all eventualities - I'd forgotten I'd done that ;)

So please find a zip attached.

New Normal Update for Z20pro has following issues upto now :

1 . 1080P 23.4 FPS MOVIES not auto changing screen
2 . some rainbow glitch while watching 2160p hdr direct rip file from 4kuhd .

and some error too , can't name them now .

is their a way to get back to old version ?

Try to get help on your issues first by giving more detail. However if you want to go back to older version you first need to flash a recovery image. Scroll down the first post in the thread below for instructions.

Ok. I just noticed something weird which I never noticed prior to the most recent firmware. I cannot definitely confirm it wasn't occurring but I think I would have noticed as I always select this track when playing. So I was playing the Guns N Roses Live in New York Bluray last night and I noticed the 96000 Hz TrueHD track was only outputting in 48000 Hz no matter if I selected Play Video and selected it from the Audio option in the player or if I selected Play BluRay Menu and selected it from the BD menu directly. Below is the audio track codec details from the Bluray:

But I also have a MKV rip I made myself from the Bluray and when I play the MKV it does play the track as 96000 Hz. Shows in the output in the player and confirmed on my receiver.

I have my audio settings as Raw and the Optical option is off.

Any thoughts why it is outputting a lower Hz when playing the disc itself? It should the be same audio right? When I play either, it asks if I want to continue playback at the same spot so it is "seeing" it as the same thing, correct?

Very strange. Plays correctly in Windows using VLC and Kodi as well as using my Himedia Q10 I keep in my bedroom.

  15. Any way to set a bookmark on an episode or spot on a movie?

    Good morning,
    Sorry for my English.
Since the update to 0.95 offered online when starting the zidoo z9x pro (= therefore without a USB key),
My external USB hard drive with separate power supply (Seagate BACKUP PLUS HUB 3.5" USB 3.0 8TB) is not recognized by my zidoo z9x pro. It works very well on PC or on my TV. (or when it was on 0.75 firmware)
    Many people have this problem.
Is this specific to the external drive with power supply? or only on the z9x pro? I have another 4TB external USB drive but self-powered (so without external power) and it is well recognized on the zidoo in 0.95.
I cannot do the method seen previously by connecting it to an Android TV. Is there another method?
This is a bug that ultimately affects a lot of people.
    Thanks for your help

I am using external Toshiba 14TB with external supply via USB 3.0 on Zidoo Z9X Pro with FW1.0.95 without any problems.

I have noticed an issue with HT5 that happens occasionally on some movies where the poster and clear logo flash on and off in main movie page.

The issue can be seen by looking at Shane Lees review of Zidoo UHD8000 8K on YouTube at time code 10:24. When he selects Blade in HT5 you can see the poster and clear logo flash on and off. I also see that occasionally on the new HT5. Can this be reported to Zidoo to take a look?

Must admit I've never seen that in maybe 3 months of testing.

We're going to have to wait to see these players in the wild - I originally had an engineering board (pinched from one of the devs and rammed into a case as far as I can tell) and since then the hardware has changed and my latest boxes are the new versions with differential firmware updates - so we don't know what hardware these YouTube numpties were sent. I assume a release version in this case since it's an 8000 but who knows...

It's this kind of thing we need to iron out next. But as I say, no point pre-empting anything until they're out there fighting for survival in the wilderness...
