I can't tell for sure because the website does not explicitly state that the HDMI port is a standard input HDMI and there isn't a manual online.

As I say, it depends whether it has a standard HDMI input or not - you should email the sound bar suppliers and ask.

Well, thanks a lot! You have been a wonderful help throughout.
I placed my orders already, buying a high-contrast ALR and OREI converter.

Recently I noticed this weird activity on my Z9X Pro, it automatically plays a paused movie after 10-15 seconds. Am I the only one facing such an issue? Is there any fix to this?

Not really a major issue, but am I the only one facing this issue? Do I need to reset my Zidoo?

Sorry to disturb you again, but I'm facing a weird issue again. I've connected the Zidoo Z9X Pro to the projector using a 9-meter HDMI cable. The projector is working fine, but whenever someone switches on/off the lights or any other button on the switchboard, the signal gets interrupted and the screen goes blank for 4-5 seconds, the projector saying no signal. This happens whenever someone pushes the buttons on any switchboard from any room (not just the board where Zidoo is connected), which is weird to me. Earthing is properly connected. Why is it so? Any solution to this?

Get electrician. Replace power supply to Zidoo. Replace Z9X Pro.

    LOL - call an electrician.

No, you're not. I've posted about this bug in this thread on the 9th of june this year...

I've already. The electrician has no clue about this happening.
Is it the long 9 m cable causing the problem?
This is not the case with standard-size HDMI.

I used a voltage stabilizer to power up the Zidoo; still no luck.

Presumably a shielding issue - how about a fibre optic HDMI?

This kind of behavior is very common when an HDMI signal is right on the edge of stability.
Based on your description, the most likely cause is:

HDMI signal drop due to electrical noise or voltage fluctuation
When someone switches lights or appliances on/off, there is a brief electrical spike or dip on the power line.
A long HDMI cable (9 meters) — especially if it's not active or not well-shielded — can easily lose signal during such fluctuations.

The projector then shows “No Signal” for a few seconds while HDMI re-syncs.

    Most likely causes
    1. Long HDMI cable + noisy power line
HDMI signals weaken over long distances. A 9m cable—if passive—can be unstable, especially at 4K.

Light switches create EMI (electromagnetic interference) or voltage dips → HDMI loses sync.

    2. Non-isolated power for Zidoo and projector
If both are plugged into a power strip or wall outlet affected by the light circuit, power noise can briefly affect the Zidoo → HDMI output resets.

    3. Poor grounding in the electrical wiring
Improper or missing ground can cause every switch flip to inject noise into connected electronics.

    4. Cable quality
If the HDMI cable is not:

    • Active/fiber HDMI

    • Certified Ultra High Speed

    • Well shielded
…it will drop signal more easily.

    How to fix it
    1. Use an Active or Fiber HDMI Cable (recommended)
Replace the 9m cable with one of these:

    • Active HDMI cable (boosts the signal)

    • HDMI-over-fiber cable (immune to electrical noise)
This fixes 90% of cases like yours.

    2. Put Zidoo + projector on a UPS or voltage stabilizer
A small line-interactive UPS or stabilizer isolates them from spikes/dips.

    3. Avoid sharing the same circuit as lights (if possible)
If you can plug the projector and Zidoo into a different circuit, the interference will be reduced.

    4. Use a high-quality power strip with surge/noise filtering
    Look for:

    • EMI/RFI noise filtering

    • Surge protection
Brands like APC, Belkin, or CyberPower have these.

    5. Check grounding
If your home’s electrical grounding is weak, even small switches can affect AV equipment.

    Most common real-world fix
Switching to a fiber-optic HDMI cable completely eliminates this issue, because:

    • It’s immune to EMI

    • Signal stays stable over long distances
    Cost is typically $20–$40 online.

If you want, I can help you choose the right HDMI cable or troubleshoot step-by-step.

I did ask ChatGPT for you.

Changing the HDMI cable solved the problem. Optical HDMI worked!
Thanks a lot for your generosity!

Sorry to bother you again, but it seems like the list of issues is never-ending...

Since I'm using a BenQ TH575, which is a native 1080p and 4K-compatible projector, it cannot properly play HDR content but can render 2160p. HDR movies often look dull and colorless. Any proper Zidoo Z9X Pro settings for converting HDR to SDR to look as good as native SDR content?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Do yourself a favor and switch your Zidoo's HDR setting to VS10 to SDR for everything... and your projector should look great for both. Make sure your EDID is set for Auto and not set for some custom one. That projector looks to be mostly designed for gaming.. not necessarily for awesome home theater display, but even so, it shouldn't look dull and colorless... Double check your picture modes on your projector as well...

I bought the BenQ TH575 projector after reading this review, so this is not as bad as you think for watching movies.

Hi, I just got a Z20 Pro, I installed de _G firmware, I installed YouTube from the PlayStore and when I open it it says "YouTube is not compatible with your device". Is there a way to make it work?

I still face micro stuttering on Z9X Pro which happens constantly and gets away when I press pause/resume. I use 1Gb LAN connection and not happening on Minix which is connected the same way to the NAS and using same source material........

The only stuttering I have every noted on my Pro is with some of my older blu ray titles that still used the VC-1 codec... converted those to AVC H.264 files and all is good...
