I agree my uhd 5000 is stuttering too. Thanks to futureland i move to uhd 8000 beacuse zidoo dosent develop a good firmware ! But the brand confirm the teams still work on the 5000 this is false !

Try switching between either VS10 or auto in the settings I have found that can fix the stuttering once its stable leave it on the one that works let me know if that resolves it as there are some other combinations of fixes that can also affect this.

Don't test with VC-1 encoded files to begin with as that's going to complicate things.

    Hello!
Can I install the new Music Player V8.0 app on the Z2000Pro? I like the new UI and its features. I can't find the apk file.
    I bought a Z9X 8K. I like how it works.

I've never played a music file on Z9X Pro.
What file do you play on it—like an mp3 music file?
Is it any different than playing in your car player or any Bluetooth speaker?

    Hello!
MP3 format is the default. It can handle Flac and several high-resolution formats. It can handle a lot of file formats.

    Didn't kow about that.
Is that why Zidoo has released Eversolo players?
Can we play these high-resolution music files on Zidoo z9x Pro too instead of purchasing Eversolo player?

It plays a wide variety of files. But I don't think it can replace Eversolo. It is made of better quality parts.
If you write a file format, I will test it for you.

I really hope that support for the Z9X PRO has not ended, as I am still facing issues with my device, where I am unable to download subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese or Portuguese from Portugal. The issue where the screen becomes tiny and goes to the top left corner is happening frequently. I also cannot leave the "Match frame rate and resolution" or "Match frame rate only" options enabled without the device unsetting the "Display/Resolution: Auto" option. I am still waiting for an update to fix these issues.

new Daredevil series in DV getting the HDR screen flashing on scene changes, Silo was the same so I watched that in VS10 SDR and it worked, no issues at all with Severance in DV though.
I fall back to playing Daredevil on my Shield pro as it outputs them perfectly with no flashing but I used to think this was an issue with my previous TV but alas, the new LG C4 does the same things with those files.

I did some testing yesterday and if I stop the file, then restart playback it is fine for a while then starts flashing again. Is the HDR metadata somehow getting out of sync? it really seems like it. it was happening in both DV modes after a seemingly random amount of time, and it always came good if I stopped and restarted.

Hi Guys, I just ordered a Z2000 pro after returning the Z3000 pro due too many bugs and unstability. I don't want another nightmare experiance so wanting to find out what is the most stable firmware version for the Z2000 Pro please?

I am thinking when the player arrives it will have a very early firmware version already installed and I can download all the firmware versions available for the z2000 pro and update the player one version at a time and test it out and then stop updating at the most stable version, unless the very latest version is already the the most stable version?

I am guessting stability depends on hardware combination so cannot make the assumption that the latest firmware version is the most stable one!

I am holding at 1.0.75 on my Zidoo UHD5000. Every once in awhile it will start to stutter a little but a pause/play will normally clear it up.

I have the z2000 pro. The latest 1.0.95 is not perfect, but I find it to be the best

I liked my Z2000 a lot. Mine is on the latest FW whatever that is.

My only issue was MCH music which was the reason I bought it originally. I have no issues with video but I had to regulate it to the bedroom since I needed MCH audio capability in my living room. So I got the Z9X 8K for there. I am glad I didnt spend the extra for the Z3000 though.

    Good luck!

Any known lip sync issues with any of the firmwares on the Z2000 pro? Its the thing that I detest the most!

No, none - up until very recently I was running a Z9X Pro on latest firmware in my cinema with no issues.

I'm still waiting to get a new firmware to my Z9X PRO, I have the Z9X and Z9X PRO, they fixed the download of Brazilian Portuguese subtitle problem on the Z9X almost a year ago on the latest firmware realesed 07/29/2024, I thought that the Z9X PRO was going to get this update soon after the Z9X (maybe one month later) but no, very sad, as I have both I put my Z9X on my main theater and the Z9X PRO on my living room where I dont use it too much, but I am still waiting on this update as well

I would love to be wrong but I don't think we will be seeing another FW update for this model line anytime soon. It has already been over 7 months since the last update which is the longest I can recall for any active product line by Zidoo but I could be wrong. I think they moved on to Eversolo and the Z9x 8K line and are not looking back at this point.

the older Z9X got about 4 years of firmware updates, so it wouldn’t be unexpected to see some updates to this line which is less than 2 years old in the future, but I suspect their development manpower is spread very thin.

Yeah this line was kinda a stop gap line anyway right? Doesn't even play MCH audio. Just not a priority is my guess.

It does play multichannel music, it's just buggy at it and hates DSD multichannel (when it works its stuttering and when it doesn’t it just plays stereo badly) and THD Atmos (but it seems to accept EAC3 atmos files?).

Try loading your files into a library in Kodi (regular KODI works for music), once bitstreaming is set up it will play encoded formats like DTS, AC3 and Atmos THD/EAC3 too.

I use a shield pro for all my surround and atmos music files anyway, I have some unusally high bitrate 24/192 7.1ch flac files that it has no problem losslessly bitstreaming to my recevier at the correct samplerate, bit depth and channels.

Even with kodi/zdmc all configured and tweaked on the zidoo it still refused to always work and output stereo randomly until you stop and start a track, zidoo works well enough for stereo but I use a mini PC for stereo anyway as I have a hundred thousand files to navigate and the music player app is awful at large libraries and sorting through them.
