Hello guys/gals this issue may be isolated to just my device, but I'll give my resolution anyway. I have a hard drive full of movies and I noticed the movies will constantly freeze after 5-10 mins. This was happening with different movie formats such as MKV, MP4, MV4, 1080p, and 720p movies. I couldn't figure it out. Being that my drive supports USB 3.0 I used the blue port for maximum speed. After connecting to the USB 2.0 port all the freezing went away and all my movies played smooth, I even tested it with a 27gb 1080p movie and 78gb 4k movie and all works without a hiccup. Pro Tip- To avoid wear and tear on your USB Port buy a USB Hub for $9.99 at Amazon. If you're like me constantly disconnecting and reconnecting your external drive get the hub to avoid damage to your X9s.
