Hi. A .mkv I am trying to play displays with purple and green colors. I never seen this before. Can it be solved or is the file corrupt? I am using the recommended settings for my Z9X 8K: http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...her-useful-stuff-for-aml-s928x-players.98556/
Is it the only file you have that plays that way? If so probably the file. You could upload a one minute segment on somewhere like Mega and share the link to see if others see the same
yep ,usually the purple green shows when your playing DV on a device that doesnt support it ie if i test DV mkvs on my PC ill usually get it ,because my display is hdr only you may find your seeing it because the video only has dv and no hdr to fall back to
I have a LG OLED77CS6, Samsung HW-Q995D and the Zidoo Z9X 8K. Shouldn't be any DV issues. Other DV clips play fine btw and the TV flags that it's getting a DV signal on all DV clips. Here the video data from the file: General Format : Matroska Format version : Version 2 Overall bit rate : 24.2 Mb/s Frame rate : 23.976 FPS Encoded date : 2024-08-31 13:25:01 UTC Writing application : mkvmerge v5.5.0 ('Healer') built on Apr 6 2012 21:43:24 Writing library : libebml v1.2.3 + libmatroska v1.3.0 Video ID : 1 Format : HEVC Format/Info : High Efficiency Video Coding Format profile : Main 10@L5@High Codec ID : V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC Bit rate : 23.0 Mb/s Width : 3 840 pixels Height : 1 608 pixels Display aspect ratio : 2.39:1 Frame rate mode : Constant Frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 10 bits Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.155 Stream size : 32.8 GiB (95%) Default : Yes Forced : No
According to that report, it's not DV - I'd bin it off and find a different source. It looks like someone did something stupid to a P5 DV file.
