Hi. Hoping someone can help me. Ripped my movie collection recently using mkv and stored on hard drives in nas. Everything has been great until yesterday. Went to watch Batman begins on the zidoo but it would not play. I then tried the dark knight and same thing. Tried dark knight rises and it loaded and played right away. I deleted the files of the first two movies and ripped them again and they still wouldn’t play. Have no idea what’s going on. All the other movies play great. Any help appreciated thx.
How what? Those two rips won’t play but they did after I initially ripped them and now they don’t. I don’t have this problem with any of my other movies I ripped
What else needs to be said? All my other movies I ripped through mkv load and play fine except these two. And even after I deleted those files and ripped them again they still will not play. You’re telling me nobody on this forum has ever ran into a similar situation where one or more ripped movies would not play but the rest of their collection loaded and played fine?
If it were me, I'd be checking if your ripped files play using another video player on your PC or Mac, such as VLC. If not then your ripping process is at fault or the files themselves are corrupt. Not sure why you may think the Zidoo is at fault
Provide a MediaInfo file of the 2 titles that wont play - sounds like a faulty rip. MediaInfo will give us something to work with. Doesn't play provides no information! How did you rip them ? The software you used?
Well mine will not and they play fine on my computer and both discs work in my ub820 so idk wtf is going on
Could you please share how you solved it. I have the same problem with Batman Begins. Its 1080 Blu Ray, VC1, Dolby truehd, MKV, 23.976 Hz. For me the file plays if I play it through the Media Center/File manager but if I try to play the same file through the "Home theater/poster wall" its just like the "counter is ticking forever" and nothing happends. My player is the UHD8000 and firmware v1.3.05
As I and others have suggested you post in the first instance the full MediaInfo report using text mode. This is what shouid happen for all files that “won’t play” for no apparent reason.
https://www.videohelp.com/software/MediaInfo if you have a MAC then the full MediaInfo site has other operating systems versions https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download/Windows
I did a factory reset and scanned my hdd and thus created a new data base for home theater and now batman begins plays again.
