Kino Lorber movies not finding subtitles with direct main movie playback

Up to FW 2.2.96 the native Video Player won't find the single subtitle included on the BD's.
This selecting direct main movie playback (Play Video). This is happening as far as I could see thus far always on Kino Lorber BD's with just English Audio and single English subtitles.

My other media players don't have this problem so it is not a BD related problem.

When using the BD Menu (Play with Blu-Ray menu) the subtitles are found and will be played normally. The option on the actual BD Menu is then subtitles ON/OFF.
