Hi, my Z3000PRO with latest beta connects fine through the JellyFin orginal app, but it is not marking the watched episode as watched at the end of the file. Is this a known problem? Als when i configure "File in order" on the HT settings instead of "Single File" it tries to start the next episode but this fails. I'm using direct mapping to the SMB shares.

More people have the same issue? For the rest it works perfectly.

 

Yeah, the Zidoo Jellyfin app still needs some polishing.

I'm having an ongoing issue (reported) of app/server playback status communication failure.
When watching a file, it does not appear as playing on the server dashboard (@Markswift2003 has also observed this behaviour).
If I stop a file before completion, the server thinks it's still playing and does not register that playback has stopped for up to half an hour after afterwards, even if the Zidoo is switched off.
Often, I'll resume a movie to find it's half an hour or so ahead of where I stopped it. In the case of incomplete episodes, I'll find that they're marked as watched, and I have to manually resume from where I left off.

The interface is also lacking in key areas.
There is no 'Next Up' section for TV episodes on the home screen. This is a pretty glaring omission, which has also been reported, and acknowledged by @Eki Shaw several months ago, but has yet to be addressed by developers.
I also often find the 'Latest Movies' home screen section is unpopulated when I launch the app. Sometimes I have to relaunch the app several times to repopulate it.


When opening an episode, there is no individual episode synopsis, only the series synopsis. Again, a pretty glaring omission.


I appreciate that significant firmware bugs have taken priority over recent months, and I'm hopeful that now these have been sorted, dev's can dedicate some TLC to their Jellyfin app.

 

Does this app have Next Up on the home screen yet, or horizontal navigation of movie genres and collections instead of vertical like the Android client?

 

Since it appears to be confusing people now, I've moved all the posts regarding the standard Android Jellyfin app to the correct thread.

Just to be clear and to avoid further confusion, this thread is for the native Jellyfin app written by Zidoo and included with the AML boxes.

Is there a way that you can get the cover, backdrop, plot etc. information directly from Jellyfin, Emby or Plex?
Otherwise, I have to always scan all my media with HT5 in order to see those while playback.

I haven’t found a way to get cover art to show on remote directly using Jellyfin on the Zidoo - I have to use Home Assistant to send the data to the remote - I can get cover art when using HT5 directly to the remote - the only problem when using Jellyfin and Home Assistant it doesn’t show the time line like it would directly in Zidoo’s HT5

Not sure about your "Jellyfin with HA"setup, do you mean you are using the Jellyfin integration with HA?

Alright, then it seems that the Jellyfin HA integration doesn't support that.

I do run the Zidoo integration on the R3 by Albinator - which is really great shows the artwork and the time line as I showed in the photo - it’s when I use Jellyfin I’m trying to get the timeline on the R3 - I can see the timeline in HA for some reason it’s not sending that data to the remote
