Hi team, since a few versions I have issues that when i look for a playlist like "classic rock" or "sunday morning" or what ever else, the playlist start to stop at one track and i need to skip to the next one, the previous song also simply does not work, i have no idea why? Does anyone is also facing this issue? With the native apple music app (hires capable) I was not able to spot that problem only with the own designed eversolo app in apple music. tidal works fine
I’ve been having this problem for a while too. Only workaround i found was to use the apple music app. There seems to be many hiccups with listening to apple music or classic on my dmp-a8 at least. For example apple classic will just ‘hang’ on loading, never seems to connect/play. Or like you described some songs just won’t play on apple music streaming, as well as any music loaded on the ssd. Strange.
Hi I am in view you are in Canada. I am in the US mid Atlantic. I run or use Apple Music every day. It goes on at 5 AM in the morning and may run to seven or 8 PM every day, I do absolutely agree or coincide of what you were speaking of with the Apple Music every once in a while I’ll grab my iPhone out of my pocket and I will proceed to change an album to another classical station or a blues station as I do favor what they call Chicago blues , Yes, I do get what I call rollers once in a while where it just will not play that particular album or particular song I have found having a little patience most of the time if I wait perhaps 1 or 2 it seems to clear up a rectify on its own, as I proceed to go back to the album or song which would not play, I would describe it as a type of freeze up until some other selection is made. I also run the A8 most of the time other streamers hear that I won’t mention doing indeed to proceed to do exactly the same within Apple Music apps, also, what version are you running? I believe there is a selector for Apple audio updates , unfortunately, the only true way I have found of updating. It is actually reinstalling it. Approximately 3 or 4 times through out it’s initial installation, also, are you running or using OTA or are you hardwired connected I believe personally this could also make some more of a difference and overall reception within operational use with streaming, in using OTA, other than that, I have never encountered any other problems as you so describe Using Apple Music from the beginning and have found it to be pretty satisfying and reliable speaking personally for my needs, however, someone may give better answer here as far as your SSD is concerned and internal external hard drive. I see no reason why there should be any conflicting errors or problems within activating those drives. I’m a bit short on time at the moment unfortunately but I will investigate this later on tonight but again that usually does the trick a little patience and it usually clears up at least with my unit anyway A few other folks have also mentioned the same very best of luck to you, but I will give that a try if I can find a song or an album that will not play sonic and I may have that particular song album on my external drive, please have a wonderful day very best of luck to you ;-)
Is there away that Eversolo can have look at this prob? It’s constantly reproducible for me and annoys me really not to be able to listen to AM properly. Workaround is fine but still this should not happen and the team should have a look into that. Can provide a live demo or logs to that prob @mirror - FYI
I did report my ssd problem to eversolo 2 years ago and had numerous discussions with them at the time. They tried to fix the problem but at the end they couldn’t fix it. They think it has to do with the apple music app and they have limited options to address third party apps. of course the obvious workaround is just for me to play directly from the ssd, but that means i can’t have these songs in an apple playlist. still i love my streamer, fantastic sound quality
Did you try and reinstall the Apple Music app as I stated above, I have reinstalled my app three or four times if memory serves me correctly there are updates and upgrades from Apple Music not Eversolo Apple Music I believe does have a setting on there that says auto updates. Well, it never auto updated anything until I deleted the entire app and reinstalled it. The Apple Music app then provided me with the new version number ongoing issues were solved. I don’t remember all of them exactly that they were minor but Apple Music does indeed put out upgrades from time to time in particular. This was new to me as I was not aware at that specific time if I had to streamer in front of me at present I would give you the exact version that I am now on however, unfortunately, I am unable to do so at present but will be happy to screenshot it and send it to you . Also, I do remember reading that Apple Music themselves does stipulate that you may have to reinstall the Apple Music app in order to give allowability within current version as shown in their literature . I will send it to you ASAP , I would certainly believe Apple Music site should provide all information and help , however have a great night …
As I have already said a million times: Apple grants full access to Apple devices and OS. Everything else has limited protocol support. Blame it on Apple, folks. Eversolo can do nothing; if Apple closes the door completely (and they can...) only Apple devices will ever keep access to AM. My (further) 2c
Hi Nutul, yes you summoned it up on the short side, you are absolutely 100% correct, but however, as I so stated after completely deleting the Apple Music app, then reinstalling the entire Apple Music app following The reinstallation of the Apple Music app, then proceeded to show the new version number that was currently being used within that particular timeframe. Nutul you are right about that. I just wish that one day they humbly fix these problems. Now back to this discussion. There are two ways to access apple music. One is through the streaming service and the other is through apps that we install. This last one is just like the apple music app on your phone or ipad. This app works perfectly for me, no issues. Its version is 4.9.6.1(1450]. It is apple music on the streaming service that gives me trouble. Not playing some tunes or the ones on ssd for example. And it this service that Eversolo couldn’t fix. Like i said i will use the app version if i have to, it is just not as convenient. Regarding my connection, i have the Eversolo connected directly to my modem by wire, therefore the best it could be.
This is made by Apple devs, and of course implements Apple's API completely. This is probably coded by Eversolo devs, and the only have access to Apple's restricted API. And Eversolo cannot fix it. IOW it is not a matter or something needing to be fixed: it is a lack of functionality being made available by Apple themselves. Cheers, Al
I made some further tests and uninstalled the apple music app, as the authorization was established the tracks played randomly. Then I decided to make a hardware reset. boot > config > native AM test, works > the eversolo app stopps again. One example is look for "hard rock classics" playlist and play Queen Bohemian Rapsody ... it will not work in the Eversolo app but in the native one with 24/96khz. So from my standpoint clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. A user cannot do more than a hardware reset and hope that it will be fixed. One stupid assumption is that probably the Eversolo app is picking up somehow Dolby Atmos (as on the iphone it shows as a Atmos track) and does not play the HiRes one. But again, a dev needs to have a look at that. Please feel free reaching out to me guys if you have any questions.
Hi TomBa, you might want to keep something in mind, including myself in realization , Im using an Apple Music subscription, and ROON. Quite an immense difference in overall operation and sound quality. It’s not inexpensive in comparison to Apple Music however sonically speaking from my personal and casual observations there’s no comparison . Oh absolutely some pros some cons some negative some positives unfortunately, In the world of High End Audio , however not always but the majority of the time you get exactly what you pay for, if you are purchasing new however, that’s a whole different issue Just personally speaking, I look at it this way what the hell do you want for 12 /14 bucks a month or at least that’s what I believe it cost entails Why do I make the previous statement ? I ask the Boss at the end or the beginning of the month? How much do I owe you I give her the asking and it’s forgotten about until next month. I don’t believe you can purchase much of anything today for approximately $.12/14 bucks month within the United States today, I mainly keep the AM subscription mostly for background music throughout the day it’s convenient it works most of the time , but personally speaking I have quickly learned , honestly I don’t take it seriously or out of contention , Apple Music is exactly what it is. That’s exactly what you subscribed to, I do certainly understand your point of view. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but sometimes if you’re looking for more you’re going to have to up your game no matter . But ok And I also use Roon but only with Tidal not with AM as it is not implemented. Still hoping that one of the Dev members will have a look at that in time
Hi , I absolutely and most certainly well receive your point of view, I was simply making a comparison between different streaming services, and most likely what to expect and what not to expect. Now, if you are using Tidal , perhaps you may be able within interjecting a basic point of view in comparison in lieu of very different streaming services. And perhaps what to expect and what not to expect, just simply stated, however, again I certainly respect your point of view again, have a wonderful day !
@mirror hey team also after today’s update this issue is still happening. The new Neil Young album doesn’t play at all. Not one single track. What can I do? How this can be resolved?
I have the same issue with the Eversolo streaming apple music version as described by TomBa. All new released albums/songs for the last month are not start playing. Example are the above mentioned Neil Young or Sting The Night Watch (released June 26th). The Black Keys Peaches Album released in May is working, so something in between May to June 26 must have changed at Apple Music/API, so that the native App is not start playing them. I was hopeing with the newest Eversolo Software release it got fixed but its not (DMP-A10 with v1.6.15). Fix and support from Eversolo welcome or statement what Apple have maybe blocked/changed. With the Apple Music APP/APK everything works fine. Thanks, Sven
I don’t quite know the exact reasons, I just tryed playing Most of the above songs or artist material you have so mentioned above they all loaded up to the library very nicely, and All appeared to play quite correctly with absolutely no problems. However, I am currently in use of version , V 1.5.75 , DMP A8, USA . Mid Atlantic area, however no more updates the unit or device operates perfectly. Using Apple Music, Only my personal opinion, sometimes I leave well enough alone, I would certainly assume perhaps a firmware problem I don’t believe area would have any measurable effect in reference to the above problem today however, I could certainly be wrong, please have a nice weekend ;-)

During the weekend I will go over the formal contact and issue process to raise this problem with the team as it is annoying as hell to me
