Tried many ways to connect my Iphone app to the streamer. I am definitively in the same network. The Play show the IP provided by dhcp of the router. Play is connected via lan. The app won’t find the device in the local network after scanning the QR code. Entering the device manually is not possible as the koma key is displayed for entering the IP instead of the dot (German version of the app), but even if I scan the the IP from the screen of the PLAY I get a connection error. Ok tried the app on the Ipad and the PLAY was found immediately. The only problem is that the complete userinterface is shown in chinese which I am not willing to learn just to be able to use this device. Any help would be appreciated.
Wait... wat? You can connect from the iPad, but not from the iPhone just because the keyboard is different? Well... this is weird. Install the missing? (check your iPad what keyboards / languages has installed and replicate them on the iPhone - that would have been my first choice) Also, now that I read... is there such a thing like "whatever language"-version-of-the-app??? Install the one you have on the iPad, then, uh? Or install English language support on your phone... just running out of ideas now...!
This is the way the app looks like on the Ipad and I have not found a way to set the language options.
I forgot why my iPhone would connect at some point, but my wife's wouldn't. Since I've forgotten, I thought it would be smart to share it with you. Check the following on your iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and turn on the switch for Eversolo Control.
