    20210622_093433.jpg Hi everybody,

I have noticed that zidoo x9s does not do proper deniterlacing and shows an image that is not safitasfactory.

For example older media players like dune and zappiti had bob deinterlacing and the picture was smooth,
but in zidoo the picture is like the attached photo with horizontal lines in faces as they speak or objects when moving. This is a very bad picture outcome especially for old sources like dvd, or tv shows.
I am writing this hoping that the tech team will take it under consideration and implement a proper deinterlacing mehtod such as bob or another.....
It would upgrade the player a lot!
I also attach a frame from a movie.Look at the horizontal lines especially on the helmet on the right. While playing it shows even more!

Here is a comparison of the same frame.

The first one is from zidoo and the second one from vlc media app on my sony tv.

Look at the difference on the helmets and not only. The artifacts (horizontal lines) from the interlacing on the first picture ruins the picture and observe how smooth is the seond one!
The difference is great and if vlc can do proper deinterlacing so can zidoo i assume!Pleasedo something about it!

20fps is a rather odd framerate and I wonder if this would be the direct reason for Zidoo not being able to play it smoothly. Whether the material is progressive or interlaced, I might add.
Can you tell this video comes from dvd? Maybe you can provide a sample?

    Thank you for the reply.
The system does not allow me to upload an attachment of an mkv or mp4 clip of the movie.Do you know in which format can i upload a clip here?

I had the same issue. With a free mega account it'll work.
    https://mega.nz/

Upload the file to mega and put the download link here.

    Ok.The link is the following

I would be very grateful if you could check with z9x if the above mentioned artefacts-horizontal lines appear or not.
ofcourse check if you like the movement and what in which output the zidoo plays it.

    Thank you

(the cross hatching is moire from the photograph and not on the screen)

It played at 720p 50Hz which is correct for that file.
