    No downside I’m aware of.

If the key frames are too dense, then presumably the Zidoo will either coalesce some them or drop some of them. That would mean that fast moving objects would lag a little and/or move in bigger steps. I don't think most people would be able to tell unless they are extremely familiar with the content. As in familiar enough because they either mastered the content or because it is a demo/test track that they heard many times and know what to expect.

There is some risk that if the wrong key frames are dropped, then an object never reaches it's final destination. Again, this is unlikely to be an issue in situations where you watch normal content for entertainment purposes.

Don’t worry - no keyframes are dropped (yes, that would be disastrous!!) - sent you a pm with a more in depth explanation…

How do I change the background? Haven't found it, don't know anything about Android...
    Thanks

I have a stutter problem sometimes. One way I have cured it was to restart the box (not close down and start again). I likened it to Windows where a close down doesn't have the same effect as a restart, just check out the Task Manager. A restart takes longer as it reloads all the drivers etc.

    Hello

I have a Zidoo Z3000 Pro 8K along with an LG G5 OLED TV.

Is the Native LED TV option so the TV processes the image directly?

Would that be the best option in my case, or is LLDV better?

    Thank you.

Although there should not be a visual difference, If the mode is available to you, you should go with " TV LED DV" rather than LLDV/Player LED). Otherwise, LLDV is just fine ( works even better in some case, with less stuttering feedback cases)

Thank you very much for the reply.

But does the LED TV DV option make my TV process the image?

you'd have to use " TV LED PASSTHROUGH" so your TV would do all the DV processing.

All other modes, the zidoo takes over and process the DV and send it to your TV. Either way, if you have a DV tv, you'll get DV.

    Thanks again Symus35

What I want is for my TV to handle all processing for 1080p SDR movies, as well as for 4K HDR and Dolby Vision.

What would be the best option in this case?

Someone told me I have to post my issue here.

Anyway, it's about the settings which you advised.

Workaround is to either disable screensaver globally (Settings/Playback/Screensaver > Do not enable screensaver) or disable screensaver for video playback only (playback Context Menu/Advanced/More Settings/Pause video display screensaver > Off).

I do not have this function in settings playback? This option is only visible in my display.
Do I miss something here? Is there a hidden menu?

    Zidoo Z9x 8k / V1.2.25-G

I hope I'm not over asking but can someone please tell me if my settings are ok about the stutter issue?

    Pass through sound on
Playback auto frame rate Local payback match frame rate and resolution
Third party app same as above

    Finally screensaver off.

That's it? or is there more?

Reason for this is it's jumpy and tons of stutters?

Disable Screensaver for Playback only is in the player context menu - press menu while playing a file.

Settings you posted are fine - If you're getting jumpy playback and tons of stutters then something is seriously wrong somewhere, possibly in file delivery.

Thank you Mark but I'm lost. Sorry.

It's about the player context menu. See photo. I presume that's the button for context menu? If I'm wrong please tell me where to find that button.

Like you've mentioned, during a movie I press the context menu button. If I do that I have several options but not playback only?

I have serval options such as subtitle / audio / play queue / Aspect ratio / Play mode / advanced.

Yes, that's the context menu - as I said above, once in the context menu it's Advanced/More Settings/Pause video display screensaver > Off

    Thank you!
Sorry for all these stupid questions.

There is one thing I do not understand. Again pictures because I have an health issue and for me it's hard to explain things by text.

My tv is an oldie UE32D6530 LED-TV 32".

    When I turn on my tv it says 1920 x 1080 60Hz.

    When I start a movie it says 1920 x 1080 24 Hz

When I press the info button remote It says output mode 1920 x 1080P 23,976Hz YUV444 10 bits SDR
    Video resolution 1920 x 804 ( 23,976 fps )

I don't get it? All sources gives another output?

Anyway in my current situation what is the correct setting?

Display auto switch to best resolution?
    1920 x 1080P 60 Hz?
    1920x1080P 24 Hz?
    1920 x 1080P 23,976Hz?

    I'm situated in The Netherlands.

Ok, so 1920 x 1080 60Hz (1080p60) will be the native resolution and maximum frame rate of the TV - so the UI of the Zidoo will be presented in 1080p60 if resolution in the Zidoo is set to Auto. That's fine.

Most content is either 24fps or 23.976fps but the TV, although it will display it correctly, doesn't display the difference - it just shows 24 fps (Hz) for both 23.976 and 24. My JVC projector does exactly the same (and I think my Samsung does too..). So that's nothing unusual.

The video resolution of 1920 x 804 just means the file is a 2.39:1 presentation and cropped to remove black bars - so instead of being 1920 x 1080 (16:9) it's 1920 x 804 (2.39:1). The Zidoo will output that at 1920 x 1080 with black bars top and bottom. Again, all correct.

The choice of Resolution setting in the Zidoo is up to you - if you set to 1920 x 1080p 23.976Hz then you'll see less HDMI resyncs because the frame rate is the same as most content - so if you play a 1080p23 file, the TV has no need to resync. But it's up to you - you might find the UI more fluid at 1080p60.

Again Thank you. This is the best explanation ever. I did ask the same question to my Zidoo dealer and he said I must use the setting 24Hz.

Lol - no - if you want to change the UI frame rate then always choose the value that matches the majority of your content, and in almost 100% of cases that will be 23.976. But as I say, there's no need to unless you want to reduce resyncs, or indeed if you prefer the UI at 23.976.

Oh man why are you doing this. It makes me insecure tbh.

Ok, so 1920 x 1080 60Hz (1080p60) will be the native resolution and maximum frame rate of the TV - so the UI of the Zidoo will be presented in 1080p60 if resolution in the Zidoo is set to Auto.

So there is no difference for video between 1920 x 1080 60 Hz or Display auto switch to best resolution?

What I hope to achieve is a smooth video without stutter. The UI ( user interface is set op 1080 p already )
