HT5 v5.0.68 Beta Version (UPDATED)

i have alot of problem with home theater forced quiting when browsing poster wall and "choosing poster", and when i have been thrown out one time after pressing ok to se plot and so and home theater can happen 5-8 times in a row.

some times but not as often it happens just browsing aswell.
its can happen on first boot aswell as working trouble free for a longer uptime.

its not to a point where its unusable, but verry frustrating. i see this more as a bug repport. as it is a beta, but if you have any cool ides shot otherwise well see in next update.

 

That doesn't matter if it's not for you anyway, but for internal use. I can't understand why you're so angry.

 

Sorry, but it never is....maybe a Sony or Panasonic UHD Blu-Ray Player would be a better choice for you?

These types of devices are always a work in progress....until the next SOC drops - it is what it is for a niche, but, IMHO, very capable device.

 

I think someone has already reported this. I haven't seen any of these episodes yet, but they are all already marked as seen.

 

I noticed something today. I physically removed two movies I have watched from my NAS but HT5 did not update the wall. If I select the removed movie in Ht5 I get the message 'There are no movies to display in the current poster. Do you want to remove this poster?"

Never had that before.

 

I knew that this version was being offered for testing, and I voluntarily took part, but I'm now going back to V4 for good until all the problems are fixed. Too much has been ruined just for the sake of dynamic images, which are only available for very few films – I think 1 in 100 or even less – and although I think it looks nice, I don't really need it.

I'm currently watching all the Dexter seasons and I can't tell what I've seen and what I haven't, which is a bit annoying.

 

I removed another movie from my NAS. HT5 seemed to identify removal as I got the message that it was scanning and would update in a few seconds. The screen flashed as if it had worked but the movie was still listed. I quit HT5 and re loaded it but the removed movie was still showing. Until I tried to access it and then same as before. Anyone else seeing this?

 

Watched a movie today, and deleted it through the zidoo file explorer thing...
Just rechecked, yep, it's gone from the wall.. using the 50 version posted here..
Not sure if that works different, than removing it another way from my nas.. using say my phone and a different file explorer.

 

I only ever delete movies from within HT5 itself, and that is working correctly here.

However, I just deleted a movie off my das via windows explorer, and forced a rescan in HT5, and yep, same as you, the poster is still there until you go to press play.

I don't use the classic view.
In the vertical list view there appears no alphabetical navigation . not even when the setting is "on" and the sorting is alphabetical

 

Is there a way or can be added to stop movie collections being auto compiled before scanning? As I like to display all my movies independently. So will just save collapsing all collections after scanning.

 

in last version not working anymore in all of category option gen suspance, thriller, crime, horror, action not showing any movie or tv series...maybe i scan again from begining?

 

Working fine here...scroll down to the cat windows, enter, and shows movies in that cat.

 

I scaned again and nothing, i back in version with 4 its ok, in version with 5 not working

 

Out of curiosity, what Zidoo and f/w do you have?

 

Z9X 8K, I have 2TB HDDs, one on SATA, 2 on USB 3,on versions up to 5 they worked perfectly on genre categories

 

It's not something I necessarily need, but it would be nice if it worked...

I am surprised because I do not have such problems.
A while ago I deleted a movie and it is no longer displayed in the HT5 list.
In addition, I also inserted a flash drive with a movie on it _ which naturally appeared in the list, and after I removed the flash drive and the movies from it disappeared from the list.
Maybe it is good to add that in the settings I have automatically scan devices, which is generally disabled in the default settings
