Have you performed the tests on HT5 with the 1.2.40 or 1.2.42 firmware? Why, as OldPainless pointed out to me, could depend on the new firmware?

 

My Z9X 8K is on v1.2.42 and my UHD8000 is on v1.2.40.

Both have HT v5.0.46 and both have the icon.

That icon is part of HT so would not be affected by firmware - my only theory at the moment is a database error. I'm not sure how it could cause this, but it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

 

Well, that's that out of the window as a possibility then.

I usually refine all my scraps via the Zidoo web console, which you open from your computer
by pinging the player's IP address.

It's an extremely practical and useful tool, essential for me in managing my collection.

Can we hope that at some point this web console will evolve alongside the improvements made to HT5
and that we'll benefit from usability improvements, added features, bug fixes, etc ?

(For example, I don't understand why I still can't change movie posters and fanarts from the web console by replacing them
with images I have on my NAS... when I can do it without any problem from the player !

This forces me to manage my collection by going back and forth between my living room/player and my office room/computer...
when I could do everything comfortably from my PC !)

I feel like this console is the forgotten relative of updates, and that's a real shame.

 

I must admit that the web UI doesn't get as much attention as it could, but to be fair it's pretty good now and way better than it used to be.

 

It's certainly evolved favorably (I didn't test it at the beginning), but for me, it's missing one fundamental feature
- which I mentioned as exemple in my previous (edited) post :

The ability to replace posters and fanarts with your own images stored in a folder ! (On my NAS, in my case).

This operation is perfectly possible from the player, but impossible from the web console !

Which forces me to move between my computer and my living room every time I scrap and want to manage
my Collection, whereas I could do everything comfortably from my computer without this incomprehensible shortcoming.

 

Yes - I agree - that's the one big feature that's missing!

@Zidoo Support-Kim , @Eki Shaw - this is something we should fix in the Web UI - the ability to add your own posters and backdrops.

 

It's easy in the Zidoo UI and easy to put a jpg in the movie folder, but the point is that the Web UI should be able to do it too.

 

Where did you enter the collection?

Тhe web UI is working fine for me too,
Only like ever, no way to modify poster with picture on my disc, only from IMDB, or other net.
My ones only from HT.

 

The only thing I can think is to revert to the previous version and see if that works and then maybe update again straight to v5.0.46 - as I say, the web UI works as it always has here.
