HT5 v5.0.68 Beta Version (UPDATED)

It could seem be a problem with the source file. Is the problem found with all DV files?

 

I'm speaking about Z3000pro, HDMI audio port to Onkyo TX NR555, tv on the main port LG 65QNED93A6A.

1) This is a collection after the update to 5.0.46: the icon at the top right is not there.

 

That's odd - thought I'd check here (not that I've ever used that function) and the icon is there and indeed I can change the order of the films/file.

Are you on the lastest f/w as well?

I see you have the Z3000 pro which I assume is on 1.2.40? I'm using a Z9x 8K on 1.2.42, so I don't know if that would make a difference (the base firmware).

 

Don't know if this was covered.. have z3000 pro.. updated to this software update.. seemed all my movies on the internal HD vanished.. NAS ones are fine.. So I cleared the data from the internal drive and rescanned.. all's well again.. just found it odd.

 

@Markswift2003 I uninstalled version 5.0.46, I canceled the cache and all the data and now I am at version 4.3.74 and everything works perfectly:

1) The icon at the top right is present.

2) I can insert the TV series in the collections of movies.

With the update 5.0.46 these features are not there.

 

Yes I have version 1.2.40. I performed a test by returning to the previous version 4.3.74 of HT and everything works perfectly.

 

I had problems with DV videos when I used HDMI audio like you did, but after I changed the configuration to Zidoo -> AVR -> TV, I no longer had any problems. Test it out.
I also assume that it has nothing to do with home theatre.

 

@Markswift2003 I updated again from version 4.3.74 to version 5.0.46 and the features I speak of are not there. I attach the images.

Right - I've got it now - You're talking about Custom Collections.

You could never copy a TV season into a Standard Collection, but previously a Custom Collection could contain both TV an Movie files, but now you cannot do that.

I have a feeling that was a bug in v4.3.74 and prior, but I'll talk to the devs and see what they say.

The reason I think it's a bug is that if you create a Custom Collection, add a TV Season and a Movie into it and then open that Collection in TV Series, only the TV Series shows and if you open the Collection in Movies, only the movie is shown. However, if you open it in Collections, in that case both Movie and TV Season. That kind of makes some sense, but it's inconsistent and you are able to disband the Custom Collection in TV Series without seeing that the Movies are in there or disband it in Movies without knowing there are TV Series there, and that is not intuitive.


As for the missing icon to change order in the top right - I can't replicate that at all - I've gone back to v4.3.74, and then back to v5.0.46 and every time the icon is there and I can re-order the collection, whether it's a Custom Collection or a Standard Collection. That might have been an issue that occurred when the database was upgraded when moving to v5, I don't know, but it's definitely implemented in v5.

 

Now for me it remains a great doubt: use version 5.0.46 or return to use 4.3.74? As for the insertion of the TV series in the collections it is not a big problem and I can live with it. But the possibility of being able to manually tidy up films in the collections I consider it important for my personal needs.

 

Does the icon appear in Standard Collections - ie ones that generated automatically in v5.0.46?

 

No, it does not appear in any collection.

 

I just can't replicate it - I even tried changing the main language AND the language in HT to Italian and still I have the icon.

 

This is a mystery! I hope that with the next updates the icon appears by magic.

Great update with nice improvements but I noticed that the Home Theater web UI control center stopped functioning after this update. I have a Zidoo Z3000 Pro. is there any fix for this issue?
