Don't know - sounds like a database issue. I've had no problems with any of the betas so I guess it depends on the state of your database to start with.

When you say it scans every few seconds what do you mean? It only scans when there is a change in source files - eg when a movie is added or deleted.

It keeps scanning even after a movie has been added. The only way to stop it is by turning off auto-scan in the settings, but then I have to manually turn it back on each time I add a new movie. The 60 min setting doesn't seem to do anything.

That's odd behaviour - definitely not normal - if a movie is added to a source, it recognises the change, scans, adds it and then stops.

In your case it seems to think that the content is changing - this has nothing to do with scan time.

What's the source? Internal, USB or network?

External USB. I've got like 5-6 movies in it.

Very odd - I was expecting network storage - there've been instances of certain brands of NAS storage that freak out and show content changing in shares but I can't think why content on a USB drive would be an issue.

Not sure what to suggest other than a full reset of HT (Settings/Data Manager/Clear Data.

Assuming you've turned it off and on again?? :)

Yes, the issue started weeks ago. I cleared the data, but the problem is still there, it keeps showing “Found a source to be updated and will automatically scan the device in…” every second.

Can't think why it would do that - especially after a reset - as I say, it means that the box thinks that the source data is changing, but obviously it isn't.

What's the USB drive - not an older Western Digital by any chance??

    Seagate External Drive (2TB): https://www.seagate.com/products/external-hard-drives/expansion-external-drives/

As I said, I could just turn off ''Automatic updating sources'' and the nofitication will go away. But then I would need to turn it back on after adding a new movie to the drive.

    As exFat...

Hmm - should be fine - I'm old school and stick to NTFS but exFAT shouldn't cause issues.

Should i format it to NTFS and see if issue is still there?

Up to you - I kind of thing anything's worth a go. I must admit I tend to go for the scorched earth approach when I get anomalies to reset everything :)

Fixed the issue by changing the Poster Folder setting from Custom Folder to Priority save to Device.

    Nice one!

But I have no explanation for that!

It’s odd... maybe it might be conflicting with the images, posters, or logos, causing it to repeatedly think there’s a change in the source?

Yes, that logic makes sense, however, setting "Priority save to device" means that the cache is saved to the source so it's kind of working in the opposite way!

I always recommend Custom Folder and to leave the default setting because that saves to the Zidoo internal storage, leaving the source alone.

But hey, if it works ;)

This bug is always there. It is not a strange exception.

    always the same bugs

Episode number in the home, in "Watching", incorrect (always shows the last episode).
Small problem, not as serious as the others.
