HT5 v5.0.68 Beta Version for Realtek 1619BPD (UPDATED)

    BTW, I was able to successfully install the beta HT 5 on two Z9X Pros. It's good to see that Zidoo is still making updates.

    I believe that this may have already been reported?... but with this new HT update, when a film is partially watched and goes to the Watched section and it happens to be part of a collection, it shows the collection and not the individual movie.....

    Yep - already reported :)

    It does the same for TV Series.

    Updated yesterday.
    In HT4, if you sorted by duration, it would display the times in the poster view. In HT5 it does not and I couldn't see an option to re-enable that. The other issue I'm facing on the same lines, is the sorting is placing some items in the wrong place (e.g. Dune is before Haze, Haze is much shorter). I noticed a bunch of the meta data is missing when I first upgraded. In HT5 is there any way to force the metadata rescan for the entire collection?

    There is another bug. When there is a TV series with several episodes and when some episode is partially watched... and when you just want to resume watching the episode (the one as visible in the details screen) by clicking over the circle icon (the one indicating already watched time) then BUG /error: "The device is not connected and no further operations can be performed". See the screenshot - very annoying.

    But if you select the rectangular episode number and press ok at the remote (not over the circle icon) - the episode playback is started OK.

    No problem at the single movies. Every TV series I have tested in my library is affected. The drive is local SATA connected.

    This happens to me too, but I didn't report it because I thought it already was.

    EDIT: Yep, already reported by Raho on page 1 of this thread and confirmed to be fixed in the next update.

    Thanks. I didn't catch that before. Maybe due to "erudite comments" between @Markswift2003 and @Raho...
    Glad I am not alone so there's a hope to get some fix in the next 6 months time, judging from the experience.

    And I agree to @Raho and will be more erudite. Zidoo should invest in some automated tool for regression testing before releasing alfa software marked as beta... Besides, anyone has seen the stable, final, not beta marked release since the device launch? Please show me.

    Our family watched Karate Kid Legends that was ripped from a 4K UHD Blu-ray and it started dropping frames half way through. A simple pause and unpause fixes it, but this has been reported as an issue on previous firmwares. I wish it was fixed in this one. :(

    Hello everyone,

    I’m using a UHD5000 with the latest firmware (v1.0.95) and have five hard drives connected—two internal and three external. Everything was working perfectly until I updated HT5 from version 4.3.52 to 5.0.59.

    After the update, HT5 showed “nothing to display” even though the disc scan completed successfully. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

    • Uninstalled and reinstalled HT5 v5.0.59 → no change.
    • Since I have full backups (including .nfo and .jpeg files for each video), I chose to erase HT5 data.
    • After that, the content all five drives reappeared in HT5, scanning worked fine, and my media library was displayed again.
    However, I’m now facing a new issue: on two of the five drives (one internal and one external), HT5 says “Device is not connected” when I try to access videos. Strangely, the same videos play just fine via the file explorer. The other three drives work without any problems.

    Here are my questions:

    • What could be causing this “Device not connected” error in HT5?
    • In the global settings, I see two options: “Clear system application data” and “Restore factory settings.” Would either help?
    • Should I consider downgrading back to HT5 v4.3.52?
    Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Update : everything is working fine again.
    I just removed HT5 v5.0.59 and re-installed previous version v4.3.52.

    Very happy to have my hard drives working again.

    Instead of fixing serious bugs, each version brings new bugs that weren't in older versions.

    Same duration as the episodes.

    Continue watching only open poster with all seasons, not correct seasons with episod.

    Orribile "play, trailer and favorites" function with White background.

    Time setting for scan posters update doesn't work: set 60min but never change, every few seconds he scan.



    It's possibile disabile screen saver and use TV (lg C4) screen saver? I try to turn off zidoo screen saver but lg screen saver won't start.

  17. All I can say is that I'm happy that I'm not the only one who had all of those problems + more.I'm back to the original install files and all I can say is, all smiles now.

    New version HT v5.0.68 posted on the first page.

    I'm waiting for this to be posted on the Zidoo server so at the moment it's my own Mega link.

    Also awaiting the official changelog, but this version allows NFO metadata update for files previously scraped on TMDB etc, TV Show ratings and collections/series appearing in Watching.

    I had some issues with version 5.0.59: after updating, HT5 showed "nothing to display." I ended up reverting to v4.3.52.

    Do you think this new update will resolve that problem?

    The time setting for poster scans doesn’t work, even when set to 60 minutes, it still scans every few seconds.
    Will there be fix for this in future?
