We've been testing a new version of HT for the last few weeks with an optimised database for larger collections and it's now being released as a public beta for those who want to try it.

Please note that this version is for Realtek 1619BPD boxes ONLY.

2. This update optimizes the processing and display speed of large posters.

Initial Release:

You can display dynamic backgrounds on the movie details page, adding richer visual effects and more viewing experience.
Please note: Not all movies support dynamic backgrounds.

Function Instructions: Go to Poster Wall Settings > Preferences (scroll down to the bottom) > Enable Dynamic Backgrounds for Details. To always display dynamic backgrounds, also disable Auto-play trailers on details.

2. Added one-click jump to bottom feature in folder browsing.
When browsing device paths, press the right navigation button to quickly jump to the bottom of the file list, improving operation efficiency.

3. Added a reminder to remove devices in the device management page.
When deleting a path in the device directory, a reminder will pop up and disappear automatically after the deletion is complete. This improves operational feedback. 4. Added multi-device widget functionality

5. Added the ability to create local episodes
When the TMDB server has fewer episodes than the local server (e.g., 30 episodes on the local server and only 29 on the server): Allow: The system will automatically complete the missing episodes on the server to generate a complete episode structure. Disallow: The system will skip the missing episodes on the server and move them to the Unmatched category.

I was hoping that a selection of subtitles and audio tracks would be added here before playback as in 8K models.

Strange, installs on ZX9Pro but not on my Z2000 Pro. Downloading a "fresh copy" but simply says "App not installed"

FIXED

Re-installed "zidoo_poster_RTD1619B_v4.3.52.apk" then updated that with "zidoo_poster_RTD1619B_v5.0.59.apk" and voila!

Like the way that backups now have the model name in the file name.

 

and with this new HT ver the unpause bug returns

also, in the Watching area appears not the movie itself, but the whole Collection
similar, an in progress show appears in Watching with all seasons, not the current one
is there a way to reverse this to the HT4 behaviour, please?

EDIT: only work for movie, for tv series "play" don't working, you get press on the episode number for start.

The developers at Zidoo have just added THE feature I was most eagerly awaiting: the ability to display the entire collection even if the disks are not connected !

The best thing would be for the player to indicate which disc to insert to play a particular movie.

 

Just to note that there is a small bug in this at the moment where if you delete a movie/tv series from your source without removing it from HT first, it will appear in the list with this option ticked.

Hopefully it'll be an easy fix.

 

The film path is displayed when the disc is inserted. It would be great if the path remained displayed even when the disc is not inserted.
I have given all my discs a name (ex. WD 25.01.23, the date the disc was manufactured).
This would allow me to see easily which disc to insert.

 

Does this mean that I can create my own movies and TV shows using NFO files and if I need to make a minor code change within the NFO file, I can refresh the metadata and it will read the code and adjust the movie or TV show it accordingly?

 

Yes, you've always been able to create your own NFOs and use them and refresh metadata for NFOs has been around for a long time too.

Point 8 is to do with formatting of certain NFO files (ones that didn't contain a URL for thumb and fanart) causing the refresh button to be unavailable, not the function itself which, as I say, has been around a while.

 

If you press episode nr then should start playing, This little bug was coming with update v5.0.59 Im sure they will fix it with next update.

If the movie have dynamic backround then logo dissapears.. If dont have dynamic backround then logo is ok. And i think this dynamic backround thingy is not working so good like it is in z3000, Alot of movies dont have it what i have it in z3000
