I haven't tested because all my boxes are up to date, but as far as I know the update should work on older releases.

 

Thanks Mark. I could have sworn there was a minimum release for HT5 when it first came out, but damned if I can find that info now. Too many posts!

Anyways, at least the other person was able to get it working after updating, required or not.

 

That should work. It did on my Z9X and 3000 with the same version (.42)

Why not just release a fix for TMDB issue? I have two Z9Xs and I install this fix to one of them and I don't like it.
I realize I am very happy with my HT4 setup. I do not want to upgrade to HT5. Can't you just release a quick fix that
only address the TMDB issue without updating the HT?

 

In case you haven't noticed, but Zidoo's Home Theater (Posterwall) has gone through multiple version updates over the years... Their latest iteration has been HT5 for quite some time now.. so, how would they fix an issue with TMDB access and release the updated HT apk and not have the HT5 updates come along for the ride? Not to mention that HT5 fixed the super slow scrolling of large movie databases that some people had...

 

My HT4 was ship shape and bristol fashion until Zidoo switched the API keys. I have over 5000 MKVs on 9 external disks, 7 of them connected by usb hub and never had any slow scrolling.
I am not against HT5, I was merely asking if there's a way to solve the TMBD issue without updating the HT for users who likes the HT4 better.

My first post here. I have the Zidoo Z9X when I check what firmware i have it says v6.3.60. Living in Sweden trying to do a OTA update it says I have the latest one?
And on Zidoo firmware the v6.4.42 is latest I can see.
I have HT4.
So what do I need to do to get it all working with the mediainfo and poster loading?

It's up to you whether you update to the latest beta or not - my advice would be to do so as you're on quite an old version. This is v6.4.68, not v6.3.42 as you say - always look at the stickies.
