This is an update to the recently released patch to HT5 for the TMDB scraping issues we've been having.

1. Fixed Trailer Issues
2. Fixed MediaInfo loading issue
3. Fixed slow poster loading issue

Couple of days ago I installed on my Zidoo Z30 Pro this "Quick Fix Released for Poster Wall App Matching Issues"
After that I have not had any problems with Poster Wall matching... before it did not work properly for some short time.

Now, we have got "This is an update to the recently released patch to HT5 for the TMDB scraping issues we've been having".

If I install v4.3.40.apk will it work better / more stable than v4.3.37_Beta.apk?

 

Probably a dumb question, but I'm guessing I can skip v4.3.37 and update v4.3.40 instead.

To Mr. Markswift2003 - May I install update v4.3.40 in case of having already working v4.3.37_Beta that I istalled two days ago?
Will I have something more from update v4.3.40 to previous Beta?

 

Yes, it resolves some minor loading issues. Read the post #1 of this thread.

Thanks for this update. However I was hoping that this would resolve the issue in the quick fix where the info/format info for the media with respective icons (4k, dolby logos, dts logos, framerate) were loading extremely slow. At the moment on this new firmware, some films are loading nothing and dont allow the "more info" technical info even past 30 seconds.. is this also going to be addressed? It seems exactly the same as the quick fix. Before the tmdb crash loading media info and icons was not an issue and was instant. What gives?

 

Normally it's resolved but allow sometime to retrieve the media info from first loading as the box is sourcing from Internet TMDB, unless you have configured to be from your local NFO. After a box restart, you'll see a clear improvement!!

 

Thank you for the response. Yes, some were loading but many were not after 40 seconds even. I tried to restart the box but there was not much improvement. I wonder if it would involve rescanning my entire library to help with retrieving the info again without long delays.

 

I don't think a new scraping will help as you should re-match many of your movies and TV series, you have to wait for a while. It has been my own experience and after some time like 1hr and several reboots it returned to normal behaviour. It may depend on Internet and TMDB access.

 

When I choose the trailer playback option, the message "trailer cannot be found" pops up, and it happens with very movie.
It's not important to me, but I'm curious how it looks, does it work normally for you guys?

Does it happen with all movies? Make sure to have un-ticked "local trailers only" in preferences
