Hello. I am the owner of Zidoo Z9X Pro, firmware 1.0.95, Russian language. When I search for a movie title in Cyrillic in the Home Cinema 5.0 application, the list of movies is displayed only when I enter the first letter in the field, after entering the second, the search results disappear. Can something be done about this?
I’ve seen similar behavior on Zidoo players with non-Latin languages. It usually happens because the search function in Home Cinema 5.0 doesn’t fully support multi-character Cyrillic input — it seems to only index the first character properly. A couple of things you could try: Update the firmware if there’s a newer version available — sometimes these language/search bugs get fixed in updates. Switch the app language temporarily to English and see if search behaves differently. Use an external media library (like Plex or Kodi) for searching — they generally handle Cyrillic much better than the built-in Home Cinema search. It’s a bit annoying, but many users find that one of these workarounds usually helps until an official fix comes out.
