Hello, I've tried with 1.2.12 and 1.30 beta firmware too and I DON'T HAVE APPLIED "HDMI_IN_HACK" or "HDMI deception".

    HDMI rec settings:
    Video:
    Res: Auto / Extension: MP4 / Bitrate: 10M

    Audio:
    Freq: 96000 / Ch: 2

So when I record from HDMI IN function (source: Sky decoder) at about 52 minutes or more specifically 3,9 GB (exactly 3.926.088.685 byte) the Zidoo stop rec and then continue the recording in a new file. It's a little bit annoying. Hope fix it.

Maybe unrelated, but is exactly the FAT32 single file size limit.

Just tried, issue continue even if use a pendrive with NTFS or exFAT filesystem.

It's a firmware bug I think. Please tells developers, thanks.

    Hi. I'm new here.
I have the same annoying problem. I've tried to record (by a NTFS hard-disk) a two-hours program in the best quality and the recording was splitted in three files!
    It's running firmware version 1.2.11.
    Please try to fix this.
    Thanks!

p.s. Would it ever be possibile to record 5.1 audio (not only 1 or 2 channels)?

    I have a curiosity.
Does the old Zidoo X9 have the same 4 GB file size limit in hdmi in recording?

No it does not after an upgrade.

So, I still can't figure out why the new product X9S has this annoying issue since X9 doesn't.

Will the 4 GB file size limit be fixed in the next update?
If not, I'm thinking to return the new X9S for the old X9!

Well. I can tell you. There is no actual reason for the files to be capped at 4GB. They probably considered the Netflix/amazon/YouTube bugs to be more urgent. We are still waiting for smaller bugs to get fixed. Probably next update ? Considering the new x10 is also on the realtek soc. I dont see firmware releases slowing down.
