Hard disk never idle, constant scanning?

    Hi

    I have my hard disk set to go off after 10 mins of inactivity but this never happens.
    My hard disk never stops being accessed ever (feels like constant indexing)

    Could this be the result of upgrading to latest firmware?
    PS I do not download anything on the Zidoo

    Any thoughts appreciated

    PS OpenWrt is now very slow also

    I have discovered this disk thrashing only occurs when connected to usb 3. Same disks connected to usb2 behave properly. It feels like it is using usb3 for a swap file or something. (if so I don't recall doing anything to create a swap file) openwrt samba to usb2 is now slightly faster than usb3 using the same disk

    any ideas what is going on?
