Frustrated with Z2000 pro

Discussion in 'HDD Media player(RTD 1619BPD)' started by Viking lost down under, Aug 29, 2025.

  1. Hi m8

Did everything from scratch again. I did some of the settings inc. the developers one. Nothing is connected via networking.

Pictures below prove that I've done the full setup. I will also remove drive and do a full antiviral check. I will not load anything else for 3 weeks after viral check and re inserted HD.

That's just a standard OTA (Over The Air) firmware update message which you'd get if you weren't already on v1.0.95.

Since you were previously on v1.0.95 I presume (hope!!) that this message appeared after you did a restore to v1.0.52 as per my instructions on 17th Sept?

    Awesome!

That HAS to have fixed it.

In case you haven't already, you now need to update to v1.0.95, either OTA or using a downloaded file:

    New beta version v1.0.95 for Z9X PRO/Z20 PRO/Z2000 PRO/Z2600/UHD5000 release | Zidoo forum

    And update HT to v4.3.52:

My sincere advice is not to install anything else on the box - they're just not designed for 3rd party apps.

  4. done all of them. I connected up network as I couldn't watch anything on PLEX. So far NO youtube.

All this taught me a few things about the media player. Like, subtitles loading on what I'm watching. All smiles about that one.

  5. I'm very happy to say that the holy water etc must have worked haven't seen the devil yet.
pic 2 is when you first start an episode.
pic 1 is when you select an episode to play.
Pic 3 is the error message.

When I play some tv series I get the same error message everytime I try and play them.
But if I select a different episode it will work and when I go back to the first one it will now work.
Every time I try again I end up going through same above procedure.
Another thing is that when you stop watching eg half way through, it doesn't create a restore point.
And I'm back to the same above procedure.

ONLY some that I've tried work with no problem. I can't find a problem on my side, maybe you know something?

I'll say that I've learnt a lot from all of this stuffing around. The biggest lesson I learnt was NOT to scrape to much at a time.

PS I'M NOT doing all of this again if I can help it. Cheers

    Great to hear!!

I don't tend to close posts - partly because it allows others with similar issues to chime in after the fact, but mostly because it'd be an almighty PITA to administer!!
