Hi All Wondering if someone may be able to help. My DMP-A6 is showing firmware version 1.4.72 the strange thing is I can't find any reference to that version at all. Hope a solution can be provided so I can continue with upgrades. At the moment i get the message "Your Software is Up to Date" Thanks for any advice, Graham
The beta is perfectly stable. It's really fun, even with the iPhone, this environment control with the Room Control feature. I still have a bit of trouble telling the difference! Well, there are no longer any interruptions that used to happen with playlists on Qobuz. I'm really very happy with the purchase of this streamer!
Yeah it seems very stable! This might be the firmware I just stick with. Will probably only upgrade if I encounter a problem or there’s a genuine must have feature. Can’t see any reason for this not to be released as final.
Anybody out there confirm which release has room correction for the A6? Currently running v1.4.32 which has been reasonably stable (although can't handle showing the correct artwork if you skip tracks in a queue ... automatically shows the artwork of the next track in the queue). My only gripe I would say with that version ... other than that I just play tracks and enjoy it. Now v1.4.76 has been pushed OTA which has a change list that refers to v1.4.32 and v.1.4.60 Nowhere is Room correction mentioned? Room correction could be advantageous to my listening position as the room is L shaped. Certainly the Room Correction facility on the WiiM Ultra has helped ... especially the ability to tune L&R channels separately. Seeing all the negatives posted about v1.4.76 I have stayed clear of it until there is common agreement that it has bedded in like v1.4.32 Thanks
@George M C - it's the 1.4.80, which is beta.... to be found in general eversolo forum. Imho the 80 is stable and room correction works for me (with newest Andorid app on Samsung S25 Ultra), the microphone is recongnized and a short calibration before room correction starts. The FIR filter curves looking reasonable, e.g. the bass elevation at my room response.
@cege many thanks for your prompt response most appreciated. I stayed clear of beta releases todate ... waiting for stable OTA updates to be tested by so many knowledgeable users on this forum. I think I'll wait till it's pushed out then ... is the general opinion that this is more stable than v1.4.76?
Any idea when the v1.4.80 will be done via OTA? I still have my auto update set to off and I am currently running v1.4.32 Thanks
You have auto update turned off and waiting for an OTA update? How should it reach you? For the selfmademan: https://music.eversolo.com/dmp/ota/...4.32_to_v1.4.76_202505301234_diff-package.zip http://music.eversolo.com/dmp/ota/D...4.76_to_v1.4.80_202506122010_diff-package.zip
Hello guys, to be honest. I updated two .80 and the Android app to 1.14.68. Am I blind? I do not find "room correction..can somebody help? Cheers Frank
Just to add as someone who has always waited for OTA updates and steered clear of Beta versions - I was tempted by the positive comments of those that have updated to v1.4.80 (especially with the thought of Room Correction for my less than perfect L shaped room). So I have succumbed to that temptation and taken the plunge installing v1.4.80 Now I don't know whether it is spelt out anywhere (at least recently) on how to do this and also whether my approach is the correct one however for those interested: 1. OTA update from v1.4.32 to v1.4.76 on the DMP-A6. 2. I downloaded the zip file for update v1.4.80 to a USB drive and plugged that into the USB socket on the rear of the DMP-A6. 3. The zip file was uploaded over USB in Update to v1.4.80. This is how I did but I suppose there are other ways too. Now very briefly, because I've only just done this, and haven't had the chance to listen in-depth to the Room Correction function. But I would just mention that I tried to carry out RC while in Cast mode and the RC couldn't detect any microphone on my smart phone even though the Eversolo app had permissions to access. I discovered that you needed to be out of Cast/Landscape mode and return to Portrait orientation (which makes total sense and in hindsight was really stupid of me) for it to pick up the internal microphone of the smart phone. After that just following instructions and carrying out RC was a doddle. There is an option at the end of the process to download a file ... perhaps for the likes of REW? I don't know but I've asked @bob anyway Thanks for bearing with my ramble ...
