Any digital source is the same as any other. So If it is streaming, NAS, SSD or HDD it never matters for the sound as long it is transferred error free to the DAC.

It is so amazing to use my dirt cheap USB CD/DVD drive playing a physical CD the same or better quality (The DAC used determines SQ) as any (very) expensive CD-Player from the past.
That CD-Player may do digital extraction slightly better maybe for minor damaged CD's but that's it.

I just noticed tiny issue that does not limit any functionality but just annoys after you notice it.
Launcher widget toolbar on bottom of home screen is not correctly centered.

I am not sure how long time this has been happening but screenshots in internet would suggest that in old firmwares toolbar was correctly centered like seen from image below.


With latest 1.4.76 firmware toolbar is clearly too much right as seen from screenshot I took today.
When compared to old screenshot it also seems that hard coded search button has been added there some phase.
This makes me wondering that when it was added maybe it was forgotten to update positiong of toolbar.
I also tried to reduce number shortcuts in toolbar and it always remained too much right.

I never saw that.
But now I know it and it annoys me too.

 

Sacre Bleu this is disgraceful - I just wont be able to listen to music until this bug is put right

 

is there any pattern which players get upgrade or not? I am running DMP A6 ME (gen1) and no updates received -I am on 1.4.32 version

 

It IS centered, if you do not consider the room taken by the vertical right sidebar...

Actually you are right.
It might be even intentionally centered compared to whole display width.
In older firmwares it was centered within main menu area.
Now I can't decide which one I like better.

 

Favourites are not working. It shows only 5 favourites. I have plenty of favourites.
The favourites i mean is with the heart in it.
It does not work correctly

 

When I touch to red heart (Favourites) on my home screen, the screen goes black then restart then show the home screen again but no favorites screen/plays like before 1.4.76 (1.4.60)
Favourites are playing fine (as normal) from the Android app...

 

So asking again, I have a DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 1........Currently sitting with v 1.4.32. Still not reading that all issues with the new update is good to go. I'm not interested in doing the update if it will cause all kinds of issues, as well I am not 100% sure what the new update will add as far as making my experience more engaging. I'm sure one exists, but can someone point me to a list of changes the new update adds?

I have auto update turned off for now.

Hey Catcher, I know there are plenty of folks on this forum , that may be in disagreement with me, however, solely speaking for myself currently
My A8 is presently operating on, Version :V1.4.32 , with absolutely no problems , however some passed or prior upgrades had caused me a bit
Of grief, in which they had rectified with supplementary add-on upgrades to the ones that had initiated at that time, personally speaking
I most certainly would not install that current upgrade until it has been established in use for sometime, and also through other
Users experiences, both positive and negative I most certainly would leave any and all newer upgrades and configurations alone
as far as incorporating any new versions of anything at this point in time, sorry but to answer your question the information you are seeking
You will be able to find and acknowledge any and all information that you are presently seeking as per following the steps below ,

# 01. Go to your APPS , Icon press activate,

# 02. you will then see UPDATE, icon press activate,

# 03 you will see a screen , that will say update, along with the model and Version , example mine reads the current version presently in use
Very important, make certain first that , NONE OF THE AUTOMATIC FEATURES ARE CHECKED ✔️ to ON if so turn them OFF just a sidenote, always leave them off never keep any of them ON automatic not good. This is how I learned the hard way. Keep them OFF always.,

# 04. Same screen that you are now on, push online update, now you will see , The new version of the system mine reads as follow, V1.4.76, you will notice # 01 to # 25 , each and every number will show new notification’s as per based on and what Their current uses will be and so on ,

# 05. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, after viewing, you will see 2 box’s one says CANCEL AND ONE SAYS UPDATE DO NOT HIT UPDATE
AS THIS WILL DEFINITELY START THE NEW UPDATE TO YOUR UNIT, MAKE CERTAIN HIT CANCEL ONLY, PLEASE
after hitting CANCEL ONLY , the screen will go back to normal, then hit any other icon , ect, home back arrow and so on, their is a much easier way
To view this information, I view it through my iPhone or tablet, ect their are a number of ways to view or check this information but be extremely careful most also show a download notification now on screen, if you so desire. I don’t but that’s just me ,

*sorry about the cap locks in my explanation of such , I got a bit nervous due to context of this post , however some units seem to do and work well, others don’t, why ? I often wondered
With new updates, my situation is well at hand. I have no problems other than very minor glitches. Example screensaver clock not staying on at times , I think it better to leave things alone
At present, hopefully you should not have any foreseeable problems. There is nothing on the new upgrade that is really any interest to Myself,

however, please keep in mind that this new version that is available if you are now experiencing any problems or dysfunctional type of situations with the unit, I cannot honestly say that taking this new update will change or rectify we’re correct any of your present problems. It is very difficult to make that type of assumption until it is actually installed.

Hello none of business, but from almost a year of A8 OWNERSHIP, sorry
I would most certainly say leave it alone keep the current version you are
Presenting using as long as time permits, I was just flipping through this site

Nice to have! There is now room correction for the A6 included!
